Thank you for a wonderful salute to our black entertainers. These are the people who open doors for todays stars. They bowed down so we could stand up.
I’ll never forget these movie clips. As a young boy around 7 or 8 I can remember watching them and just amazed at the performances of all involved. I still watch today and so great that we have You Tube. I’m 70 now and never get tired of these incredible Black American Performers.
Yessss. Curtis mayfield. Take a trip. Move on up. Curtis was a a man that projected the future but still gave hope and gave lessons to our youth. A man of means and character.
Tap dancing to Curtis Mayfield music? Water finds its level. Wat a smash hit! Excellent fusion. Dancing at its best. Simply incomparable n undescribable!!.
Outstanding! My Throwback Thursdays sometimes I highlight 'hoofers,' I love my hoofers. The Nicholas Brothers, Sammy Davis Jr., Gregory Hines, Peg Leg Bates; The Four Step Brothers, with respect to other races and cultures; African Americans are not limited to 'minstrels' or Stephen Fetchet roles and talents...Feb.14th: Happy birthday Tap Dancer-Choreographer-Actor-Singer Gregory Oliver Hines (1946-2001) "Running Scared" "Tap" Will & Grace, "A Rage In Harlem"...thank you and God bless. RIP Entertainer. Curtis Mayfield; perhaps (one of the) most prolific / socially conscious songwriters-musicians of this or any generation. Thank you and God bless. RIP Genius. Thanks for the upload, olivar101. Blessings
