There's some satisfaction I feel tho, and fear, when I saw Alex finally use his Devastator attack against Heller... And the fact that they show it in his perspective the same way as in Prototype one... Not only is it nostalgic but horrifying, a proof that no matter what, the OG will be the one who'll remain. And it also would be incredible if the fight was that hard, and the satisfaction of beating Alex's ass while he's going nuts, that would be cool, even if it destroys the entire city in the process.

Alex chasing you across the city, putting you in a raw *panic* as he relentlessly shrugs off everything you throw at him and casually keeps up with you at breakneck speed All the while he uses most of the same powers you do, but stronger, faster and countering you left and right. This video shows that an encounter with a *serious* Mercer isn't a "fight", its a race to stay alive.
How does a mod show how a real fight would go when the developers of the game decide the lore of the game? Wouldnt a real be lore accurate as such how the developers made it instead of some fanboy that cant get over that their gaycrush got killed?
This fight is more realistic than the actual boss fight against Alex mercer because Alex was holding back his power while he absorbed all the evolved in this it shows that Alex is way more stronger than heller even in his first form of his virus which means in the original fight heller never stood a chance if Alex never chose to die himself heller has now been shown the true potential of Alex mercer 's first form

Damn! Alex bodysurfed you back to the exact landing pad you flew out of! I like the way he fights you like... He's not taking any chances. He countered every powers and moves you used against him and then bodysurfed you from out of nowhere. You entered a tank and then he destroyed it in a single punch as if tanks now became throwables for Alex. Gliding too much and he somehow snatched you mid-flight, and the diabolical Critical Pain Devastator in the end sent poor Heller into space...

Devs' fault they emphasized more on Graphics, alteration of powers of character etc. Maybe later they realised that that they have created a mess.Also budget issues and time constraints might have occurred as they already given more capital and effort on other things so to finish the game development process within given budget they had to compromise with the last fight.

I see some people didn’t like the final fight which is fair everyone can have a opinion but I liked the final fight and this was before I played 1. And after playing 1 I still love the final battle against Mercer and while not hard or really super intense at some moments. I think I was attached to heller and the story that I enjoyed it a lot. But I get why some people might not love it and I will quickly say I do enjoy this battle and see why this modded one people like a lot. Also quick side note I felt like for the final battle heller or maybe just mercer should have used his armour from 1 and as you advance it breaks off and after he gets to the final phase you fight him without his armour.
I literally feel the same as you, especially since I played Prototype 2 first (I had a very hard time finding a functioning Prototype (the first) game as I was on console). But yeah now I've been replaying it again, and I understand why people feel this way. The last fight of Prototype could have been better made, I didn't feel it at first but now that I'm playing Prototype with Alex again, seeing the powers and upgrades I can unlock, and the pure chaos caused in just 18 days, I can say that the final boss fight of Prototype 2 could have been made more epic, I have no problem with Alex turning evil personally, I enjoyed playing Heller too, but I would've loved that Heller would face a real challenge, Alex at his best, and that would justify Heller becoming the most powerful evolved in the entire city afterwards.
Why would he use his armour when he didn't see heller as a threat, he literally let him win if you played prototype 1 you would know alex isn't like how he was in the sequel

This is how fights with Evolved should be if there's ever a third game. They should feel just as powerful and versatile as you. Not just in the abilities they use, but also how they interact with the environment. They should be able to counter and destroy vehicles like you. They should be able to grab you and throw you into or through objects. They should be able to chase you across the entire city and vice versa. All while causing an unparalleled amount of environmental damage.
Just imagine if they released a Prototype game nowadays! It probably would have Souls like combat system and more hardcore boss fights! I would love it!
Would of made sense to have a short boss-fight with Alex during the mid-portion of the game to focus on how incredibly powerfull Mercer is at that point of the game, it would also work in regards of the story, since it would show how much stronger Heller had become by the time you fight Alex for the last time.

For those who think the last p2 fight was unfair - This is typical ACTIVISION, some games do make you invincible after a certain point of time, but they are still enjoyable. Say, for example Prince of Persia: Forgotten sands, the prince becomes undefeatable when you have completed 75% of the game. Some games' are easy some are hard simple 🙃
I think it would have been better if they had left the final character selection to us in the original. Also, it would have been better if they fought in the city.
