  • The Arturia MicroFreak packs a powerful punch for the price! The MicroFreak mono synth has unlimited capabilities when it comes to creating sounds. I made a quick beat with the MicroFreak along with the MPC Live II and the Arturia Mini Fuse 1. Hope you like the Beat 😁

Great beat! I love the MicroFreak. Great little synth, and affordable. It’s at the top of my wishlist.

Jamming as always Bolo! I think I need to buy an actual hardware synth. And thanks for showing love by playing my beat in the background! For you to like it enough to play it means a lot. 🙏🏾

The microfreak is probably the best hardware synth bang for the buck, unless you want analog, in which case the Dreadbox Typhon is great for under $500 (excellent effects processor too).

@@StudioLams I can also say there’s something about immersion in games and music making. Something about a flat keyboard like this is like a small dead zone on your controller for PlayStation or whatever in other words let’s you get that trigger for the sound the moment you touch it a normal piano is harder for me to play cause there’s that press down idk something dope about this. Love it as a midi in fl for sytrus too. The flat layout is so dope i feel like I’m actually playing a piano right and flowing with it some people might genuinely like the piano more that way lol I really feel that. Also I’m sad I sold my mpc live 2 it was so nice I’m jealous bolo cause that built in mpc daw for the sequencing of the song is so f^^%in top tier

I had a Microfreak with a Zoom MS-70CDR. Had a ton of fun messing around and creating weird ambiance. I ended up selling it to go towards my MPC One. I miss the immediate changes/randomness that the knobs and matrix gave me. I dont miss the hum/noise that came from it.

If anyone is interested its based of Mutable Instruments Plaits eurorack module, the code is open source and people make their own versions. Microfreak is one of them. If anyone is trying to get into modular eurorack shit, Plaits and mutable instruments are good first moves for real.

I have a question for you Bolo? Did you visit DJ Shadow's recording studio at S.N.A ( Southern Network Association ) in Montgomery, Alabama bacc in 97? It was a producer that visited with the same name and was wondering was it you? He used my MPC 2000 at the time to record a tracc before heading to Atlanta. I still have the floppy disk with the name B.O.L.O written on it.

KC missouri Detroit and Oakland are all cousins musically this is definitely that hyphy style of music which is as much kc if not more than any part of Michigan. This sounded like some tech n9ne strange music type beat

@@chiccngeorge3058 hyphy is trash bro that’s insulting! Detroit has been making beats this way before hyphy was a thing. Oakland and Los Angeles are biting the fluck out of us right now musically, fashionably and culturally!

MAN YOU SEEM LIKE GOOD DUDE AND ALL BUT YOU CANT POSSIBLY ONLY WANT TO MAKE THE SAME SOUNDING BEAT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. ALMOST ALWAYS USING THE SAME SELECTION OF DRUMS AND 808S WITH SOME HOLLOWEEN JINGLE SOUNDING FAMILIAR AS LAST WEEKS BEATS AND AS PREDICTABLE AS TOMORROWS. ITS GROUND HOGS DAY FEAT. BOLO MURRAY TRAP EDITION. OF COURSE YOU ARE TRYING TO TURORIALS WITHIN THE CONFINES OF SAID GENRE OF MUSIC, HOWEVER, PERHAPS A TOUCH OF AN ALTERNATIVE STYLE MIGHT BE BOTH INVIGORATING AND HELPFUL TO THE VIEWS. MUCH LOVE BOLO MURRAY.

While I agree changing up style can be a good thing I think most producers have a style and preference they like and are known for and Bolos beats and style are fire. Im not even a huge trap fan but the majority of stuff he makes gets my head noddin and he makes killer beatmaking look easy. Bolo a veteran and got creativity for days so either post what you got that sounds better if you want to battle or stay out the kitchen.
