There are various ways to cut the fender, so I will explain a little. Nakai san also tested various way, but with the welding method, the heat penetrates the iron and damages other places with heat, and the iron fender also weakens by applying heat. This time, We decided to make it without welding and without changing the original iron particles of Porsche, because it becomes easy to rust (oxidize) when heat is applied to it. Recent panel bonds and silica flex are very strong and maintain rigidity. Also, if tire hits the inner fender, there will be no escape route for the impact and it will be affected by the main vehicle, but this method also has the role of absorbing the shock. Also, by hitting the iron little by little, the fact that the iron bends little by little is transmitted to the iron, and it bends comfortably. It is important to take time to hit this bending work little by little. In the future, ,we will collecting data at circuits, endurance races, etc. I would like to continue to keep giving love to Porsche with RWB style of Love.
フェンダーカットの件は、色々なやり方があるので、少しご説明致します。中井氏も色々とテストしたのですが、溶接する方法ですると、熱が鉄を浸透して、他の場所を熱でダメにしたり、鉄のフェンダーも熱を入れる事で、弱くなったり、鉄に熱を入れると錆び(酸化)やすくなる事から、今回は、溶接をしないで、本来のポルシェの鉄の粒子を変えないで、作ることにしました。最近の、パネルボンドや、シリカフレックスは、とても強く、剛性を保ってくれます。また、溶接してしまうと、万が一、タイヤがインナーフェンダーに当たってしまった時に、衝撃の逃げ道がなくなり、本体車両にまで影響を受けてしまいます、しかし、今回のやり方ですると、ショックを吸収する役目もしてくれます。また、少しずつ鉄を叩く事で、少しずつ鉄が曲がる事が鉄まで伝わり、無理なく曲がってくれます。この曲げの作業も時間をかけて少しずつ叩く事が大切なのです。今後も、サーキット、耐久レースなどで、データーを取りながら、RWBらしい、ポルシェへの愛情を注いでまいりたいと思います。

溶接すると鉄板は酸化して錆びますがインナーフェンダーとアウターフェンダーを溶接しないとボディー強度は落ちませんか? インナーフェンダーとアウターフェンダーを溶接すると熱で酸化して錆びますが錆転換剤や錆防止剤を塗った方が良いと思いますが、、、
雑なアーチ上げで仕上げはアルミテープって...この作業でいくら取るんだろう？

Silicone and metal tape... very unbecoming of some one I regarded so highly for his craftsmanship on the 930 and 993 . He could of welded that and at the very least sprayed it with a rattle can.
I agree. I respect nakai but This is madness. Looks like he’s foiling up a baby back rib lol. I also think the 997 Rwb looks off. Think the Rwb kit only looks good for the 993 and older. The Rwb kit makes the 997 too round looking. Just not looking right. However, The 993 and below looks amazing.

@@dezinetech1000 10000% agree. This kit just doesn't translate as well on the 997. RWB looks best on 964, then 993. He should have left the 997 alone, but if people want to pay him a ton of money to silicone and tape on some fiberglass over fender job? Be my guest.
tuning with hammer saw and screwdriver, put together with rivets and bathroom silicone, why should we go to techart or gemballa !!!!

At 30:28 is where you screwed up half the car by causing it to rust out in couple of years.. you should’ve shined to bare metal weld and smooth out and then paint... wtf man.. silicon ... poor porsches... you get to travell the world to get a ton of money to do this to a car... no words.. sorry

@@1048StyleCH everything you just said is wrong a professional welder could weld the seam with minimum warp to the metal which in any case will be covered by a flare also if the tire hits the body that means it needs more to be cut to make more room.

Love Rwb but I have always wondered what he did to prevent rust with all those fresh fender cuts? I know it’s rough world but I wouldn’t want this done to my car lol.
Hi mate. I was recently at his headquarters in Japan and he uses an anti rust sealant and a filler to hold in the sealant.

I like rwb but I’m sorry that is shit. It’s not that hard to take the day to weld the inner guard and spray some cavity wax inside. I expect this glue and tape shit from a 15yo on TH-cam
耐候性のシーリング材は、耐熱、耐水、耐紫外線、接着力も強いですから溶接によるデメリットを考えるとベターなのかなと思います。

Thank you for the video Toshi-san! I do wonder will RWB kits have the option of installing it yourself? I know it goes against the whole point of it but just a thought. Also, it would be interesting to compare the time from cutting to fitting from normal 964's/993's to 997's. How much longer does this process take compared to the old one? Obviously from this video, there are a lot more steps like rolling the fenders back and sealing them. Did he used aluminium tape so that it will be protected and smooth? That's genius! Here's to hoping Nakai-san will travel again in the meantime he will have to make these steps as his second nature I guess. Can't wait for more version of the 997 bodykit, please keep us updated!
