For this album, basically he is approaching the album with more Western flavor, while his album East, with the Flying Apsaras as title track, he went more into more Eastern Chinese descent. It makes sense yes and I also like it when some songs are not full length. It sometimes is more fitting to end a song early to maintain a certain flavour to it. On some it’s even better to keep them short bc of too many repetitive sounds and beats and stuff so it does not get boring or "unlistenable" with time. I agree with you this album has a chill vibe which was interesting bcs his last album/ep EAST was very aggressive but bsides of honey and lit have this chill vibe esp lit album bsides like "soul" had some haunting vibes
Recently lay released series of live performances in his previous grandline online concert which has both bsides and title track performance I think u will def love it esp the "bad" performance🎩

Uk i was just thinking the same.... That East had some aggressive vibes and his voice felt constricted kind of intense but here its more relaxed and chill vibes. I am glad i am not the only one who thought this

It makes sense yes and I also like it when some songs are not full length. It sometimes is more fitting to end a song early to maintain a certain flavour to it. On some it’s even better to keep them short bc of too many repetitive sounds and beats and stuff so it does not get boring or "unlistenable" with time. Thanks for the reaction it helps to keep up with artists I newly discovered and normally don’t listen much. Through your videos I can gather more input
I do not know how to even comment how good he is. All rounder he is. His voice really got better and better. He does everything Rap, Vocal, Dance, Production, Writing, I bet even the choreo. Where can we even get another Lay maybe in the Exo parallel world
