If I really had to pick a favourite part of the Annapurna Circuit, it's probably the section featured in this episode...the views from Upper Pisang to Manang are absolutely amazing 😍 hope you enjoy this part guys - thank you for all the support 🙏
Josh mate mark my words in 5 years time you are going to come back to this comment you are going to become one of the best travel youtuber in the future the quality is top notch. I live in Australia at the moment but man i do miss my county now i have realised how much i have missed. Being born there but never did this kind of adventure because i was born in the capital . One again thank you for visiting our beautiful country we love you and hope you come back soon. Love from all Nepali people cheers mate
Wow thank you so much for the compliment 🙏 that's very kind. I don't know what the future holds, but I am happiest when I get to make projects like this one. I will keep doing that and see where it leads me! I hope you have the chance to return home and explore some more of Nepal in the future :) it really is an incredible place...for sure I will be coming back again! Thanks for taking the time to watch mate. Take care
Thank you for the wonderful videos. I had the good fortune to visit Kathmandu and trek in the Annapurna in 1989. Tourism was just in its infancy there.oh gosh how things have changed! A journey I have never forgotten.
Thank you Jill! Really appreciate you taking the time to watch and glad you've enjoyed them thus far 😁 yep, I imagine it's a little different to 89 and the pace of change just keeps on quickening
Yes, the feeling of surrounded by the mountains was incredible. After I came back from my 1st ebc trek in 2023, my heart and mind kept asking me to go back.. like what other trekkers said," the mountains are calling!!". Then, I went back again in 2024 and will be back again in Feb 2025. Really can't wait for it. I really like to be in the mountain and wake up with the stunning view. Thanks for sharing such a great clip!!
Amazing! I Know exactly what you mean...once you've been one time, it's very hard to not go back 😂 I have a November 2025 trip lined up already. Thanks for taking the time to watch, and enjoy your next trip!! Maybe see you out there on the trails
I think hands down this has been one of my favourite series. I laughed, nearly cried and had many jaw dropping moments. Truly a master of story telling, finding the real heart of the people you meet and the stories they have to tell. I never really thought about seeing Napal, but you have added it to my ever growing bucket list. Thank you Josh for another great series and eagerly waiting for the next part of the journey
Thanks Emmy! I think for me, this has been my favourite series to shoot and edit too. So glad to hear you're enjoying it 😁 and I think that's probably the biggest compliment you can give! I wanted people to watch and feel like they'd also like to go and see Nepal haha...trust me, you won't regret it. It's a really fascinating, beautiful country and there's all kinds of treks you can d
Great series Josh. I’ve seen dozens of videos of the ACT, but yours is the best shot and narrated I’ve seen yet. Hope you’ve got the mountain bug and decide to return to do some of the other routes in Nepal or in the Indian Himalayas like Kashmir or Ladakh. I’m from the UK, but live in Taiwan and keep going back to India, but am hopefully heading to Nepal this year. Well done! Look forward to the next one.
Cheers Leigh! That means a lot 😁🙏 I was striving hard to make something that's a little different and unique. The ACT gets a lot of coverage and rightly so. I absolutely 100% have the mountain bug...genuinely think about these places every day. It's a question of _when_ I go back, not if. Kashmir and Ladakh also look fascinating, so it can end up being quite a tricky choice 😂 Taiwan is also on the list, it looks stunning over there
Wow thank you so much for the kind words 🙏 I put a lot of work into the cinematography so it's very nice to hear that. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and glad you enjoyed it!
Being away for your birth country is hard. I did try to finish this trek had to get down fro. Upper Pisang which is sad. May be living is Australia for last 15 years made it harder to accommodate to high altitude. Your story telling is awesome. Thanks for bringing this to wider audiences like me who feels they belong to mountains. I long to see and feel the that Air once again
Wow that's a long time to be away from where you were born. My Nepali friends tell me it's very common for the younger generations to go and work abroad with better opportunities. It must be tough sometimes. I'm really glad you enjoyed watching this and I hope you will have another chance to do this trek when the time is right 🙏 I am sure you'll get there :)
❤❤❤Amazing footage and commentary of your beautiful trip. I did the Annapurna Circuit in 2007, it was life changing in a very positive way. Adventures like these makes your soul sing 🙏🙏🙏. My adventures have taken me Indonesia, Japan, China and many more places. Namaste 🙏 beautiful . Please keep posting ❤
Namaste 🙏 thank you very much for the kind words :) I would agree - my trek around the Annapurna Circuit has had a profound impact on my life - I hope this series reflects that. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and so glad you enjoyed it 😁
I must admit, it all started with a serendipitous mistake. I accidentally watched the first part of the series, "Notes from Nepal." Before I knew it, I was completely enthralled, watching all three parts. The journey captured on film was breathtakingly beautiful, and it has sparked a deep desire in me to experience Nepal firsthand. The country's allure is now firmly on my bucket list, waiting to be explored with my own eyes.
Haha well I'm glad it turned into a happy accident 😂 thanks so much for sticking with it and taking the time to watch them all 🙏 I'm glad you enjoyed it! I can't recommend Nepal enough...it's an unforgettable experience. Hope you'll travel there soon :)

Hi Josh, I just finished your trek through Annapurna on TH-cam. Congratulations, it was thoroughly enjoyable. I visited Nepal in March/April 1986 to fulfill my lifelong obsession (age 27). I spent three weeks in the Khumbu and tried to do the Annapurna Trek starting in Pokhara. I only lasted 2 weeks as I got an intestinal parasite and had to stop. I did get to Annapurna Sanctuary. There are no words for that experience. I regret that I never got to do Thorung La pass . . . that too, was my goal. It was such a treat to see exactly what I missed. I am in awe of what the High Definition camera's can provide now. I was walking right beside you! I am now 65 and was planning on a return to Nepal, however, the plans are no more as Nepal just passed a law that foreigners can no longer trek alone without a guide. That is simply not my style. A shame, but I wrote the Nepal Embassy and told them I could not make it after all . . . and wished them well. Thanks again for producing this cinematic adventure. The production quality is quite good. Nepal has been with me all these years. Luckily I currently live in the woods of Maine . . . in the mountains. They are my obsession now.
Hi Steven - thanks so much for sharing such a lovely comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch the series and so happy that it's given you a taste of what the circuit is like. Sounds like you had a fantastic experience in Nepal yourself! Aside from an intestinal parasite...but even that is a story to tell. And yes I know what you mean. I'm really not sure how hard and serious they are on that new law. I haven't checked with Deepak. A lot of people would like to solo hike. I believe you can still do it in the Khumbu region. Heard lovely things about Maine! Take care and enjoy 😁
@@JoshEdwardsFilms Hi josh, thanks for the reply. I remember you mentioned that you lived in Indonesia at the time of the trek. By funny coincidence, I spent two months in Indonesia in 1988 on a different adventure from the Nepal trip. 3 weeks on Java and 5 weeks in Bali. Needless to say, Indonesia is among my very favorite places also. I think my international flying days are near an end now - guilt at burning all that gas in flight - so I will just rely on my wonderful memories of the world. No one can take those away. Happy Trails Josh.

You guys reminded me of my treak to Mardi Himal back in 2020, it was my first time so close to the mountains. After watching your video trekking Annapurna Circuit is my new plan.
Ah yes I'd love to try Mardi Himal - it looks beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to watch :) glad it's inspired you! I can't recommend the Annapurna Circuit enough...it is incredible.

26:45 - Am I the only one who sees a face in that big mountain?
Yes! It really felt like someone was watching us haha...I think the term is called "pareidolia" - when you see a face or something familiar
What month is it recorded in?
March :) good time for trekking, just after winter and before the monsoons of summer!
After Harald Baldr and Wanton Don's this maybe the best one for me. Enjoy!! And FYI Deepak like everyone of us should speak less when one has little knowledge lol
Thank you very much, that's high praise 🙏 I appreciate you taking the time to watch. Deepak was great to be honest - without him, we wouldn't have been able to complete the trek and he added so much insight and knowledge everywhere we went
What time of year did you go?
March - very good time to trek just after winter and into spring
@@JoshEdwardsFilms I'll be there this October. Can't wait!
@@jsogden awesome mage, you will love it :) that's the other trekking window - many people say October and November is best. Enjoy!
i feel the drones take away from the real experiences...
The drone can be divisive haha - some people love 'em, others not so much!
Crimson red rhododendron is nepals national flower not other colour rhododendron and in nepal you can find 35 different colours rhododendron. 😍
Ahh crimson red! I will remember this :) thanks for sharing the extra info. The rhododendron flowers are stunning...I won't forget the first time I saw them in bloom. Thanks for taking the time to watch 🙏
26:51 - Looks like a face on that mountain.
Yes! It's definitely a face right? They call this phenomenon "pareidolia" I think - when you see faces in objects
Nepal can fix me
Feels are a myth, Nepal is real
What a wonderful narration with view.... JUST WOW !! Keep uploading the series fast.... :)
Thank you so much 🙏 really glad you're enjoying it! I will upload part four next week and maybe the last episode too, so you can watch them together :)
@@JoshEdwardsFilmsSure brother 😊 ...Want to see EBC trek too :(... When will we get that?
@@thikxasathi sometime in the future - when I come back to Nepal I will hopefully do the EBC :) looks amazing
@@JoshEdwardsFilms do comeback ASAP😇
