I love listening to Har and learning about his past work with annonas and the history behind some of the crosses. Thanks for sharing this video with us all!
I first tried Atemoya in Zanzibar in 2001, it was delicious but I couldn't understand the guide who gave me it when he told me what it was called. So due to a language barrier I have looked for this fruit for over 20 years, trying different Soursops all over the world, to no avail and much displeasure! Thankfully this week I was able to finally find out the name thanks to the wonders of the internet - and I've been able to order some to my home in the UK. I look forward to delivery in the next few weeks. Thank you so much for this video, the details you've provided here almost make the 20-year wait worth it! Now if you can 'just' breed me a cold-hardy variant that likes a lot of rain, I'll be eternally grateful! 🤣
Glad you found out!! Would’ve been cool to see you eat and try all those fruits during your quest 😂 If you’re up for the journey, you can also try to grow and bring indoors or put in greenhouse during the winter - that’s what I'm going to do, will document my experience on my channel! I'm very excited!!!! Not sure how plant shipping works for you, but seeds are most economical too- sugar apples tend to grow true to seed (at least what I’ve been told) I'm growing those from seed or you can try cherimoya, not sure about those but I think they’re similar to sugar apples in that respect
Sorry trying to clip a picture on here not no menu or button can do. I want to ask what kind of variety it is. I got mix up with my seeds so don’t know what kind and see if you can help.
@@TrulyTropical In South East Asia countries they can have fruits 2 times a year. Can we do so in cold Winter countries. My areas estimate 8-10°c during the day Can be 3-5 at nights. Do you thin I can prunes 2 times after harvesting. Appreciated for your prompt responsed. Thank you.. Aucklandy
We are not aware of any difference in cold tolerance between the different varieties. It seems that your best strategy might be to plant a bunch of seeds or seedlings in different locations on your property and see if some survive.
I agree, I know some of the residence in the Philippines and I watch on TH-cam video also, I think they graft , that's why they able propagate and they selling

Har is my Spirit Fruit
The nitidulidae pollinates for me so to keep fruits from forming on the tips it's best to cut the branches far back instead of just the ends?
