I am so happy I FINALLY found this song! It used to be played on the country radio when I was little, and I always liked it, but I never knew what it was called or who sang it, I spent 20 YEARS only knowing the opening chords/riff humming it but no one recognized it, I vaguely remember my mom saying something about someone named Vince Gill back then, so I searched his music from way back then, and surely enough, I FOUND IT! It sounds just as great as it did back then when I was a kid. I am going to be listening to this song MANY more times in the future to make up for the 20 years of me not being able to hear this song...
Well how old are you? It sounds to me like you might have been born or were very little around the time the song came out,which was in 2000. My daughter was born that year. In fact it seems like in the first couple of days after we brought her home is when I first heard this song. This is what this song here means to me,because it came out incidentally with my beloved daughter being born.

I was a a concert of his last night and his daughter called right before he started singing one of the songs. I thought he was kidding 'till he put the phone up to the mike and told her to say hi portland maine! she sounded kinda embarassed!!! LOL!
i went to see him in st.johns he never played this im 19, i only knew like 4 songs. so i wasnt exactly enjoting the concert, but i love this guy and he made a few jokes. anyone who can make me laugh is good in my books
