This is a story of 4 women who live off virtually little to feed and cloth themselves as they explain their challenges and struggle through life.

I live in the United States. And we have people living the same way. This breaks my heart. As much money as we have here in our country..celebrities making millions, basketball and football stars making millions and yet there is homelessness and hunger in my country and it shouldn't be that way. I pray for the people all over the world. ❤

redd bone i stand to be corrected but higher percentage of homeless people in the western world are homeless mainly because they are on drugs and won't accept help. I am not so sure about the US, but In the UK, most homeless people are on drugs and would spend all their money (weekly benefit) on drugs and refuse to work, but there is always help from the government and various organisation to assist them and get them off the street whenever they are ready and willing to accept help. However in Africa, e.g Nigeria, high percentage of hard working individual are homeless because there is no such help. There is no income Support such as the western countries. Nigeria have the wealth to provide basic amenities and more for her entire population but Unfortunately the God forsaken, highly corrupt government embezzled the wealth meant for everybody. An individual who is not on drugs and is willing to work such as these women won't be on the street in the U.K. Because they have a government and a system in place to support such people.

Homelessness is a world wide problem. Poverty exists in ALL countries of the world rich or poor. In the UK politicians, churches and other social organisations sleep out with homelessness people for a couple of days or weeks, so that they have better understanding and empathy of the issues that significantly contribute to homelessness. Mental issues is one, poverty is an overriding factor. Social housing has been identified as a viable solution and many programs and projects are in place to achieve this. Where is the social housing in Nigeria. I remember jakande housing to support people on lower incomes in Lagos state in the 1980s. Why should people still be sleeping under bridges or in bin sheds in 2019??? In Lagos! Which has Ikoyi and all the mansions on banana island! Thank you BATTABOX for being a voice for our conscience and the voiceless.
Thank you BattaBox for making this film. It is a very well made film that shows us the side of Nigeria that people don't like talking about. I cannot imagine anyone living like this and I hope that what Odunayo says comes true - that soon people who live like this will get help. Amen

I resonate with the LAWMA woman a lot. She seems like a fighter. Someone who does not give up. My mum did a lot of the upbringing. She made sure we all got well educated and she shielded us from what she was going through. She passed a few months after I graduated Uni. That was and still remains painful. But I am glad she saw me walk across that stage to receive my degree.She is the reason I am a Pharmacist today

It is these Unknown Faces that make the difference in a Country full of Problems and Inequalities. Poor Lady who when wearing the Work Uniform is seen as a person and when the strip is recognized as a Homeless. It is these sad real stories that make us think and we try to be better friends and men to our neighbor who need help more than we need. I sincerely empathize with these people but when did Nigerians start living in the street?
What happened to our villages?
Even if you don't have your own house in the village, some kits and kin are willing to shelter you free of charge as long as you are a good person.
Even if, you don't have land, you can lease free of charge and after harvesting your crops, the owners will take back their land. This is the tradition in Igboland.
As harsh as it sounds, we all can't live in urban centers.
Unfortunately, these days no one wants to go back to the land,grow your food, and possibly sell some,work for others to be paid.
Let's all look inward!!

What I have given is a prayer..to the one who knows, who feels each tear and every pain. I have also asked Him for grace to us who are moved cos we can't even imagine what they've been through, just to eat. I pray He gives us the courage and strength we need to fulfill our destinies, so we can help those in need. Amen.

This is not how people should live. It makes my heart sad because we are suppose to help the less fortunate. That lady is doing her best trying to provide for her children. This is all over our world. God is watching. Where's my brother sister keeper?

Why are people saying that 'pathetic' is the wrong word to use? Doesn't the word pathetic mean really heartbreakingly sad? If a person is 'pathetic' you feel sorry for them and you cry about their situation. That's what 'pathetic' means. That is the original meaning of the word even though people use it differently nowadays. I think this family's situation is definitely heart breaking because it is extremely sad.

I agree that we should all live comfortably as it is our Birthright. God please reward & bless these decent people by providing their basic needs. How does a husband travel for 17 years? Is he dead? A true man will find a way to assist or return to provide as best he can.
Things only change when we decide to make a difference. Corruption is worldwide, and not unique to Nigeria or Lagos. However, the level of selfishness is out of control. Perhaps if the old men of Nigeria cannot get their act together perhaps it's time for the youth and women to take over.
Make a way possible for people to comunicate with these people.
Maybe they want to help! Sometimes people fall on hard times, instead of showing their shame make it possible to help them.
Im watching from USA AMERICA.Im American I live in America we also have alot of poor homeless people but here as well but there are resources to help them we daily feeding and what they need. ladies and gentlemen please don't ever make the mistake of comparing Nigerias homelessness to any other part of the world. i live in the UK where theres loads of homeless people but i can verify with facts that 90% of them folks are either out there for drug/criminal related issues or some for been lazy but in all the city council makes it a priority to get them hostels and council housing. but look at Lagos for example where folks wake up as early as 5 to start chasing after busses with cartons of sausage rolls or as we call them "gala" and lacasera. those folks work 10 times as much as you can imagine yet the local government which should be closest to her people don’t seem to care.
I feel...satisfied with the things i have now......people like this are the ones god loves the most

Lagos State Government needs to have homeless shelters to house these displaced individuals. Homelessness does not mean stupidity. Life's circumstances left them this way.
