@BATMAN I have the literal same problem as you, except my falsettos are lower. I physically can't go above E5 falsetto as my voice just breaks and it only lets out air. I think this happened cause as "Kobeteam" said, i overused whistle and head voice too much when i was younger (I used to scream real hard and high). Even though my whistle range is still there, it's not the same cause my highest whistle currently is a C7 as a low baritone and i can only hit it when screaming ☹️
wow, David Kahn, I didn't know yet about him but his mixing is a bit extensive. I love how he belted an A4 and his C#2 Low Chest Note in Somewhere over the rainbow impresses me.
i'm like 98% sure his "chest" F#1 is some form of chest-fry. if u listen to it it's very clearly not fully supported and u can hear the individual palpitations of his vestibular folds. He sounded like his sinuses were clogged and it was early in the morning, which typically makes it hard to distinguish chest-fry and chest by just singing it. plus singing half an octave lower than his typical lowest chest note in full chest is pretty much out of the question. based on the resonance of the Bb1 he might have like an A1 or G#1 but his G1 and F#1 in the arabian nights video isn't chest. it's worth including in a video about his range though either way
wheres the way on down C1? nevertheless i think david kahn is like a legit good singer even ignoring his practical mastery of subharmonics. i dont know if i would count the E5 because its kind of just a trill into his high range that doesnt seem to have much direction but an exhaled, melodic range of C1-Eb5 is still really good
im not well versed in like identifying certain registers but i think that F#1 is chest-fry, because its a little bit rough sounding and also because he says he needs to be having a low voice day to even hit a Bb1 which is 4 semitones higher than that
@@ginjax5104 i actually cant do chest fry lol i wish i could! it was chest but def not typical for me to have those notes thats why i was recording it. i have Bb1 everyday but it does get lighter into the day if im not in a bass regiment.
