Hey..i guess the question is..why would they be creating a SCTASK and why wouldn't that be there already? i.e. Requests are pre-defined. By their very nature we already know how many tasks should be created in a workflow.
@@doormold7292 . If they create a manual SCTASK sporadically. How are you accounting for that in the flow? i.e. what closes or moves the RITM on in the process? e.g. On closure of the Delivery SCTASK you may set the parent RITM to closed.
@@doormold7292 Try and tease out from them "What makes them need to" and how you can add that as a condition in the flow to then trigger another task as part of the flow.
Thanks for the comment @larry. arghhhh I reindexed my website and made some tweaks :). I've updated the desc on YT but check this out: service-nerd.com/servicenow-sync-work-notes-between-ritm-and-catalog-task-synchronise-parent-and-child-tasks/
I have used the code for business rule copy comments from RITM to SCTask. Each time I test, the same comment gets added twice in the SCTask. Have you come across this issue?
@@sabcdefghijkl I was able to resolve this by applying the following condition only in the loop "if(current.comments != '')". The problem with the code is that it is triggering twice without adding the above condition.
Hi @abbasif , Can you please tell where to add this condition as I am also facing same issue. When I update in sc tasks work notes because of ritm br the other sc task are getting duplicates

Hi.. There is a way where i can see in a pivot table the sum of my ritm + my cases+ my catalog task closed per month?
Hello! Does a ServiceNow ITIL user need a special role to create a new SCTASK against an existing RITM?

@@ServiceNerd, there is already an existing SCTASK. They want to be able to create a second one for another group when they have a need to do so.

Hi, were you able to fix this? Same thing is happening to me

@@abbasif thanks! Will try that. Did you add that to both BR? Or only for one?

Please include the video of how it works.
Hey Shruti, Thanks for the comment. Can you give me some more detail? I thought the vid did show how it works..it has been a while though.
Bad video quality
🙁 sorry.
