JT wasn't a consistent passer, but he had the intangibles. He was a great motivator. He took personal responsibility and would put the entire team on his back. Think of all the clutch plays. The comeback against PSU in 2017 was legendary. Howard may be more talented, but I'll take Barrett any day of the week.
@29:45 Mike Bennett is spot on. Does anybody else remember the 14/15 season with the first CFB playoff system? All season long, Oregon supposedly had too much speed for anybody to fuck with. After running 85yds thru the heart of the south, the Bucks went on to physically manhandle Oregon for the championship. Their speed was not a factor. Who knows how ugly it would have become had Bosa not been tossed. This 24/25 Buckeye team is special.

Iowa hasn't seen the speed we have on offense yet. Will be interesting how they handle our speed.
I agree, Will Howard has handled the pressure well. Not just the game pressure but also the pressure at being the Ohio State starting quarterback. He seems to fit the part very well and is handling it exceptionally. I expect that he will progress throughout the year, and can be one of the best we've ever had as a mature, well rounded QB.
He's currently the 12th ranked QB in the Big Ten with the easiest schedule.

More hype than warranted for this game. Chip reaches in his bag early and OSU jumps out to a two score lead early. Curtains after that. Starters are out the 4th quarter resting for the ducks
Agreed. Iowa is solid not elite. People are hyping them to make this the "next" real test. Cade will really struggle which means Silver Bullets stack the box. Hawkeye 2ndary going to struggle. On paper it shouldn't be close. Looking ahead to Oregon or turnovers are main mitigating factors.

It's weird. Comparing Will and JT? When it comes to QB's, I see Will more like Craig Krenzel... only without a molecular genetics degree.
Hot take for sure that this defense will be the best in the last 20 years. No way. 2019 was better. Michigan State moved the ball good against us in the first half. We'd be singing a different tune if not for those 2 turnovers.
