He fought in the primordial war before time itself and survived, created an entire dimension called the domain of death. So, definitely a 5D being. He also killed Gaia, albeit weakened. Which is literally the first thing to ever exist after Chaos. Also Cronos said that kratos is the only one capable of killing her. Not to mention that the greek gods and titans already scale above the primordials, because each generation scales above it's predecessor in the greek pantheon.
