It helps to be tall in life. But for these NFL QBs, it didn't matter.

I’m 6’1” and met Drew Brees. He’s 6’0” first thing in the morning after an inversion table session. Dude is on the just barely reaching 5’11” mark. Still, can’t say he wasn’t pure weapons grade stud on the field. 3:35
Now they measure them at the combine no shoes, no cheating. I don’t know if Brees was measured properly lol.
Awwwww appreciate the shoutout to Eddie LeBaron. I had the pleasure of meeting him about 10-12 years ago. Couldn't have been a nicer guy. I think he was just surprised that someone my age even knew who he was, which is odd, since it was a banquet that sort of celebrated local sports. So yeah, higher chance than not that he would be recognized by any guest there.
LeBaron is also one of the few players in NFL history to earn such degrees while still in their playing careers. Respect.
Did Chrysler name the LeBaron after him?
Obviously Wilson. He's the reason Baker, Kyler, and Bryce got picked #1 overall. Seneca Wallace was cool too, even making a clutch catch at WR during the seahawks 1st superbowl run in '05
Because you brought him up, I just want to remind people that the Redskins had Sonny Jurgensen, Billy Kilmer, and Joe Theismann all on their roster at the same time.
That QB room was absolutely stacked.
They don't measure heart, FivePoints ❤
Doug Flutie kicked ass in the CFL. So did Jeff Garcia. I always rooted for those two when they later played in the NFL.
So did Damon Allen, the younger brother of Marcus Allen.
In fact, Damon Allen held the CFL's all-time career passing yards record for years, until Anthony Calvillo broke it.
@@coldsnap5742 So very true indeed RE: the Allen brothers.
Reminds me of the time Doug Flutie took over for
Tony Eason and took an 0-2 Patriot team to a
8-6 Patriot team and was playoff bound till
Raymond Berry replaced him with Eason once Eason
came back from his injuries only to have Eason lose the
last 2 games. Patriot fans were furious and knew Eason
would blow it.
As a Chiefs fan, I remember an Elvis Grbac/Rich Gannon situation that was very similar, except it was a (iirc) Wild Card game. Grbac got healthy & played & KC lost. Gannon went on to win a Super Bowl with the Raiders a couple/few years after that😞
Rich Gannon won an mvp an played in a superbowl, but didnt win one
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192Rich Gannon never won a super, partially thanks to the tuck rule followed by Bill Callahan never changing Jon Gruden’s playbook
@@chicodalianis8004Yea man. Gannon threw like 10 int that whole season. Then 5 in the SB??? OKAY!.... nothing fishy going on here. Doop de doop de doo...
Wilson being a Hall of Famer is a BOLD prediction
I like how the thumbnail is a straight up lie. Very cool.
Surprised Pat Haden was not mentioned.
Wallace was amazing at Iowa State. He beat my Iowa Hawkeyes in 02. Iowa offense was good
Eddie Lebaron was a Marine during the Korean War. He's been dead for 8 years, and was 5'7" and could still beat all of our asses.
My alma mater has a quarterback that’s 5’9” and we’re in the regional finals Friday night in the state tournament
Sonny below kyler and flutie is crazy to me
In one old Madden game I used to pick up Seneca Wallace as a 3rd QB, and would put him in as a scramble option 3-4 times a game
Awwwwwww, “the little general” is such a cute nickname
The prime Russell Wilson years in Seattle were so much fun to watch. I actually do agree he's still a potential hall of famer, especially since he's rebounded a bit this season. He's simply at at age where he's not going to have those wacky squirrel plays plus Denver just isn't great. Neither of those should be marks against him. It's just fun to clown on his corniness.
As for Murray, after watching him today, he looks like he never tore his ACL. I suspect the Cardinals are actually just verifying if he is back to full health and seeing how he meshes with the new coaching regime. He played great today. The Cards might be wise to rebuild around him if he generally continues to play well.
Seneca Wallace was awesome in college at Iowa State though
Wasn't doug flutie's best season 1998? He went 7-3, threw 20 tds, a career high, and led buffalo to a playoff season, after an 0-3 start. He didn't start those first 3 games
Dude I would love to see you and urinating tree do a stream of the Grey Cup
Perna approves this video
As a 5’4 short king, I approve this video 🫡
Also how could you leave out the drop-kick XP in covering Flutie :-(
I can't believe he would do that I'm literally shitting and crying
There’s a game on, Adam
Yes, but it's Colts Pats. If it was 2009, that would be a primetime game, but now it's a mid match up at best
Doug Flutie was definitely a top five quarterback for the bills
FPV Banger Alert!
The ride never ends perna
Respect the Flutie!
If it's the official mattress of the referees of the NFL then there's probably a huge hidden money compartment somewhere in that bed
Groper Cleveland. Very very nice. 🏈🏈👍👍
I remember when Flutie started for the Bears in the playoffs (after Jim cant get healthy got hurt) and lost to the Washington redacted's, those bears teams should have had more than 1 ring)
I'm 6' in shoes
i'm 6 feet/6'1" and it's crazy think that's barely over a "small" professional football player. lol
Can you do a video on professor wrestling stadiums and arenas
No Davey O'Brien?
Also, Russ is definitely getting in the Hall, he has the same amount of Pro Bowls and All-Pros as Warren Moon. NTM his TD to INT ratio.
Groper Cleveland?
I'm a Browns fan and that is the funniest s*it I've heard all month! 😂😂😂😂😂
Groper Cleveland 😂
Is Russell wilson REALLY a hofer? He won 1 title with an absolutely stacked defense and has been kind of a playoff choker ever since he has zero mvp votes in his career and has big numbers but let's be honest so does any other above average qb who's played in the last 15 years due to every single rule being made to make it impossible to play defense
I think Russell Wilson might be in the same situation as Matthew Stafford.
People would argue a good case for both QBs to be HOFers but will fall short bc they are gonna get compared to Aaron Rodgers, who also has 1 Ring but better stats
I'd say so. Wilson didn't play his best football until after the Legion of Boom and his o-line both collapsed. All except his last season for Seattle, he had a winning record (his final season, he was 6-8 in 14 games, with Seattle's VERY bug problems finally unignorable). He was really the only constant for Seattle up until he left.
Sure, Geno Smith did really well last year and finally made his first Pro Bowl, but his current season (as of today) hasn't been as good with a QB rating of 86.4 in comparison to last year with 100.9 (Wilson's worst pure quarterbacking season in Seattle was 2016 with a rating of 92.6 - and you could make the argument he was still great).
Not a Seattle fan btw.
I would typically agree, but if Ben Roethlisberger can be a sure in for the hall with only 6 pro bowl votes, no all pro or MVP votes, but a 2-1 superbowl record, then I think Wilson could make it in, too. Probably not first ballot, but eventually.
Not a Seahawk or Steelers fan.
And while Wilson has never gotten any MVP voting, he did receive votes for offensive player of the year in 2013, 2015, and 2019. Wilson was also named to the 2nd team all pro in 2019. While again, Roethlisberger has not received any offensive player of the year, all pro, or mvp voting. But Roethlisberger is considered a for sure hall of famwr.
I think we could also listed Roethlisberger as a playoff choker towards the end of his career. Yeah, 13-10 in the playoffs look great. But when you consider after he lost the superbowl in 2010, his playoff record after that was 3-7. Ouch.
Would Troy Smith have made this list if he was trying yo join the NFL ten years ago? The year he won the heisman, he hurt defenses with both his arm and his legs.
Troy Smith was 6'0"
As a 5' 6"' thrower and NFL fan myself, thanks for this video. It gives me hope and inspiration.❤
P. S. F U Mr. 5' 11" TH-cam football history expert! I hate tall people! 😂
An argument can definitely be made that Jurgenson was better than Wilson
By 6'4" is great. Being a 6'4" powerlifter who's stronger than anyone in the NFL is even better
Ad ends at 2:05.
Well, I'm definitely cheering for the Broncos tonight. We need to keep those 69 losses intact
Murray ??😂😂😂 busted
I can strongly relate i'm just 5,4 by the way.
As a 5'4 dude I can confirm that I have no women, no raise, no intelligence, and can play QB
If Russ makes the HOF, that will discredit the entire organization.
Say what you will, not very many QBs throwing blocks like ol Flutie 6:46
Well I'm taller than the absolute shortest of all time, but nobody else. Good to know.😂
On the flipside: how about the worst tall QB’s? Really I’m just looking for a video on Dan McGwire.
If PJ walker is one member of a best QB list, you know it’s going to suck lol.
being over six feet tall must be the greatest thing on earth if you’re a guy right?
that is the greatest quote ever
And women too.
So the thumbnail is a blatant lie (he's actually 5'7")? Awesome...
Wasn't Michael Vick 5'11"?
6'0"
6:31 A forward lateral. That's what happened. I'm not even a Bills fan, I'm just pissed that we got a decade-plus of "Jeff Fisher is a good coach" because of that playoff run.
For all the Browns jokes, it's ironic they come from a Giants fan, have fun with an injured Daniel Jones and Tommy DeVito
w
5'11 is short?
It depends on who you ask and what sport you play, but generally, no. 5'11 is still taller than most men. (5ft8 - 5ft9)
5ft 11? Lol so you're actually 5ft7
If you actually rate Kylers career ofJurgenson, it's an AWFUL take. If put Flutie above him, though just barely. And for that matter Russ is nowhere near the level of Sonny either
Dude, Y.A. Tittle.
6’
Being 5'11" to get into this vid really is cheating..
I can’t watch anymore after seeing PJ Walker on this list.
Walker sucks ass statistically but I think he just gave it to him for the fact that he's won some games. Fact is, there are so few sub-6foot QBs that some bad ones can be argued to belong in the "best of" list
Jurgesen is a lot better all time than Wilson
I'm a 'Hawks fan, but Wilson over Jurgenson??? Proximity bias much??
Both Jurgenson and LeBaron played for some seriously 💩💩 teams, too. The "Redacteds," the Eagles, and the expansion Cowboys were woeful... Tough to win a lot of games in the "black and blue" era when you've gotta hang 40 points on the board to even be close
Bro jealous of deshaun Watson
So you threw a shot at Deshaun Watson. You thought you ate? He was found innocent and has maintained his innocence! Y’all are so thirsty!
Please stop saying “The Washington Redacteds”
The term “Redskins” is not and has never been racist by any means whatsoever. And one of the largest Native American advocacy groups is suing the Washington football team to get back the Redskins name…
Cause they are smart enough to understand that removing the term “Redskins” from the NFL is a blatant attempt of canceling Native American culture.
So for your sake and ever Native America’s sake… Have some respect and stop using “Washington Redacteds”💯
Show a little class…
