I've always had such tremendous admiration for Morrissey using his platform to call out animal cruelty. Much respect for that and his fine music.
Holy crapola, I've been devouring his voice since I was in middle school in 1992 and I still think he is awesome. That voice is so unique and beautiful.
If I had to pick one, I'd say this is my favorite Morrissey song. Up there with The Smiths' Boy w/The Thorn In His Side, etc. Betcha my beloved Johhny Marr would have to admit it's pretty dang good. All them jangly guitar parts are so tasty. Love the extended outro for this video, too. RIP AR.

This seams fresh even today. I was just out of college when this video came out and was very proud of his values. It seams like in some ways Morrissey as an older man is not as nice when it comes to new comers to the UK while he gets praise and admiration from some Hispanic new comers to the US. Very strange.

Rourke and Joyce played on two songs for the first Street/Viva Hate sessions. Morrissey wrote they weren't asked back, but don't recall if there any specifics. I forget the other song they played on.
It was last of the famous international playboys.
Mike Joyce said he would not sue Morrissey for Smiths royalties if he could remain a part of his band. Morrissey said he didn't have an official band and everyone was hired just as session musicians as required. So yes, those 3 were paid as session musicians.
