Absolutely beautiful! So much time and love in this car and it shows. A lot of people don't understand what goes it to something like this. Seriously man, you built a dream car.
yes your correct, Im into all kinds of music, Bob Seger, and the Silver bullet band, Jonny Lang, Chris Stapleton to name a few. Thanks for checking out the car
I remember riding around in my cousin’s SS when she got it new when was in junior high. I really didn’t care for them b/c they came with a weak 305. But your car is so nice, it makes me want one like yours.
Oscar Martinez heck ya...any G-body would be my liking bro....also wanna an Impala 96 SS, but that would be just my everyday vehicle. Not feeling ANY of the new vehicles on the road anymore; anything past 2005 is a scratch for me.
I had a 87 SS identical to your in high school it had a 400/th400.. that's the only Chevy I miss lol. my father had a black/red 88 SS that's why I bought mine.
Damnnnnn. She is sweeet. I can see you put a lot of money in her and it's well spent. I've always wanted a MC but haven't had the chance to find one that wasn't on its way to the junkyard because of too much rust. But I did find a 86 el camino in perfect condition and that's what I'm working on now. I wish I could post pics on this comment section. But anyways gbodys were my childhood love and I give much love to anyone who has one. Much love and respect to you and all who have one.
This is probably the only customized Monte Carlo SS I would actually buy! Not over the top, but well balanced overall performance wise and looks wise. Even has air conditioning! Excellent job!
Man, no grease or grime on the undercarriage or the engine bay, I have a hard enough time trying to keep a 6yo pickup 1/4 as clean as that... Love the mild lope from the engine at idle and that interior brings back some childhood memories! Sadly my neighbor at this moment has an '86 all black SS that had a built 350 4bbl and a swapped and built 4spd auto, sitting in their driveway steadily turning into dirt... nice to see a car I hardly see any more, even at shows, in such nice condition.
This is my favorite looking car! aww man.... my dad drove it for years when i was really young, and it was stolen before I could drive. I got to get a Monte carlo!

Yes! Dude I've waiting forever for this video!! You've completed my dream build. I'm happy for you. Man it's been forever since you've posted keep them coming.
Yes a friend at the body shop hooked me up good. he took his time to prep both sides and it came out great! His ideal I was surprised when I picked it up.
Nice job. I’m hoping do drop an LS 6.0 into my 88 MC in the future. I seen several G Body’s on the Hot Rod Power Tour this year with LS in them. They fit so good and it makes a beautiful ride out of them. Thanks for all your videos.
What a very nice clean SS. I just bought one.. not as nice as this one but it's still nice. All original numbers matching. Stored since 2004. I just sold my 83 elco I miss the elco but onto bet things.
I have no Idea who you are but I can tell you one thing, you have built my dream car I have always thought the SS was such a beautiful car. Let me tell you that you have done a fantastic job here. I can't say enough good things about what you have done here. Damn I am so jealous of you...... Well and a little proud that there are other people out there that have the same taste that I do "GOOD JOB MY MAN" I hope to see this car in person some day, Please tell me you go to car shows and let us know when you are going to the next one.
Thanks, man. Also that car is a beast!!!! Thinking about doing an engine swap on my 1997 c5 'vette as well... Keep doing what you are doing!! GREAT WORK!!
You did have another option with the brakes. Unless you were 100% against not having power brakes. You could have went with a different master cylinder (bore size ) then change the brake pedal ratio to generate a lot more psi with a lot less pedal effort. Im doing a 59 Vette on a AM chassis and made my own pedal set up that hangs from the front hoop on the roll bar. All around that area with the steering column, clutch and brake pedals as well as the gas pedal. I dumped the drive by wire as well. There is zero room to start with. Then I had to widen the tunnel to make room for the TKO 500 5speed. You put all that together and leg room get tight quick. Then through the fire wall is even less room on the engine side. due to the narrow wheel wells. So I opted to go with the C6 Vette upgraded EBC 13.5 and 12.0 front and rear rotors and ZO6 calipers. Then a big bore Willwood master cyl with a 7;1 brake pedal ratio. I have a 10:1 location point, and room for another up or down from either of those. So my fire wall is very clean with no big power brake booster and all the other crap that goes with it. So the brakes are manual but 1lbs from you foot as it is set up now will make 7psi at the master.
The problem with a big motor Is vacuum to run breaks you get a hard pedal Hydro boost brake for the very best they have 1800 to 2000 and pounds a brake pressure they will stop you had a 100 mile an hour very quickThat's what you need😎
Hey man thanks for checking the car out Only place you can find those cup holders is at a truck stop Thanks for the comment please pass it on trying to get to a 1000 subscribers be a big help Thanks

@@lacy7262 , that's what we installed as well. Usually on an LS you have to sync the fuel and ignition with a scanner but that is not an option when hooked up to my scanner.

What kind of transmission does your car have now?? Did u leave the 700r4? Do u have a parts list for the swap??? Every part you needed to make it work?? I need your help
I'm Currently putting a Ls1 in a 87 Monte. Your car is so nice long live G Bodys we gotta keep them on the road.
@DarrellCornelius I currently doing the same I got a 87 Monte Carlos SS doing a ls1 swap with EL60 transmission. How you coming along with your car

Why would anyone hit the dislike on this video!! Great Monte Carlo!!!!
singram1978 It's the 'haters' that are hittin' the dislike button. Believe it...
Just to go against the grain or jealousy!
I know this guy he wears a hair piece and that’s his cousins car
They're hitting dislikes cause their driving their moms 89 camry. This cars crisp.
There hitting the dislike because it has a ls style motor.
80's American Muscle, LS-swapped. Turns on ignition - Brazilian music starts playing. Was expecting loud rock music.
