I was too young to enjoy Aerosmith in the 70s, but I got into them in the early 90s, after the "Get a Grip" album came out, and then discovered their other stuff. I always thought Toys in the Attic was by far their best album, but that's just my opinion. Good reason for that. Some of the other comments explain but I’ll restate: This music video was made in ‘91 and features a redone version of the song. In this redone version, they added a gated compression effect to the drums, which was an extremely popular effect in the 80s.
The groove that begins this song is worth the price of admission alone. I love to listen to it at night while driving. For the chorus, the bass is playing at one tempo, the drums at another, and the two words in the vocals are drawn out over multiple measures. I've always loved the effect of layering rhythms and cycles. Elegantly done.

One of the things I like about Aerosmith - besides the fact that they make GREAT music - is the fact that the original band is together.
