From what I gathered his step dad is the one that brought them all to the us, hence the line “don’t u ever think that you own me just bec u made me an immigrant” he truly adored his stepdad, by the mere fact of him calling him “dad” and he wouldn’t been this angry if he hadn’t had any expectations. then out of the blue he learns about what his “dad” have been doing and even left them all (mom prolly was forced to work since the dad was the breadwinner).
Being the oldest child and being the only man in the house he feels that he needs to step up and be the dad to his younger siblings. Explains where his hunger and determination is coming from. He love his mom and his siblings and step brother dearly. I pray that soon he’ll find it in his heart to forgive his dad and I pray for his health, happiness, success. The second part is about his ex-stepdad beating his own son Angelo (Anji featured in Ez Mil's song Omoshiroi), Ez's stepbro. The abuses cause Anji to do weeds and join a gang as the trauma was too much to bear. Ez taking the big brother role to Anji, ensure Anji's safety and treat him like his own bro/family. The hatred on this man was not only about cheating on his mom. He was once close to this man but he betrayed the whole family with lies, cheating, abuse and abandonment.

This was a very risky song for EZ to put out. I hope dark as the song may be, we can appreciate EZ's honesty for sharing this very ugly and painful part of his life. To me this is an inspiring story. EZ is a testament that tragic moments in your life can be overcome and does not have to block you from achieving your dreams.
