You don’t have to edit each frame individually or re import them or even nest them, if you select all your frames then right click ‘speed and duration’ or cmd + R you can set the the speed to 1 frame (or what ever frame rate you want) and check ripple edit,.... and it will automatically delete gaps between your frames
Thanks for this! It worked for me. Make sure "Ripple Edit / Shifting Trailing Clips" is checked as mentioned. I didn't have this clicked at first and wasn't sure why it wasn't working
3:45 you can nest all the images and edit it as a single clip, or create an adjustment layer with the transform effect, to apply it to everything below it. But select all>right click>nest would be better
Short and covered the few basics that we really needed to know clearly. Also, this was the first time I've seen anyone show a simple and practical use of nesting. What was missing: getting the frame-to-frame motion right in stop-motion is difficult for beginners. For instance, the acceleration when an object begins to move. It would have been interesting to see you split the nest and use the time control on the splits of the nested sequence to do fractional speedup with frame interpolation.
This is really great! Thank you for putting this video together - the nesting was the solution I was missing! What software are you using to capture the video with the keystrokes?
It's a really good tutorial, every tutorial should be like this! The most helpful was that the keyboard combinations and presses was there. thank you !
For easy time changes, I just create a new sequence and import the original into that one, then you can speed/slow the sequence like a normal video file, kind of like pre-composing in AE. Great video! Thanks for the help! :)
Thank you so much for watching my video. I really hoped it helped you. If you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet, please do so to get more videos like this one.
even though im a animator not a cinematographer. i will sometimes do stop motion animation but. i do not have dragon frame and final cut pro is kinda too much for me. thank god this is great animation.
I am wanting to recreate a scene from a TV show and sync the stop motion to the audio from the scene. What would be the best way to take the pictures and keep them the same as the show, then sync them in premiere pro?
Thank you so much for creating this video. You explain things quite nicely. I have created a short clip in Premier Pro CC the most recent release and it plays fine in PP but nowhere else. I keep getting an error video codec not supported. I wish I knew how to fix it.
My program gets so laggy to the point where I can’t even move my mouse after I imported all my frames for my animation. I also have a hard time watching my sequence because the view lags, even with the brackets. Does nesting parts of the sequence that will be repeated, a way of making the computer faster or is that just for manipulation?
Thank you so much! Your video was a life-saver! I resized 1 photo on my timeline and I thought I had to individually go resize all of my other 100 photos (just saying). Thanks for teaching that neat trick to apply resize on all photos, cheers!
how do you get the frame rate to exactly 15 fps, i've calculate 0.06666667 second in a frame but i cant convert it into the video duration for each frame?
Why doesn't my time sequence run smoothly like this? Is it maybe because of my internet speed or because the frames are too big? When I hit play, my timeline freezes and jumps over a bunch of frames. I have 34 frames and sped them up to 2 seconds per frame which resulted to a total time of 5 seconds, is this just too fast for this much frames and that's why the timeline jumps? Please help ya'll. Thank you!
Why does your playback window have those 2 rectangle outlines in it? My work space doesn't show that, and I'm wondering if it's something I should have,
Johanna Gülsen Vogt If you want to save your project and keep working on it, Hit Command + S (mac) or Ctrl + S (windows) and then close out of it. If you want to export it hit Command + M (mac) or Ctrl + M (windows) H.264 is the standard video file option!
I've commonly imported individual 3D Animation frames to Premier. The most recent update has changed this though. I see you set to 2 frames but I used to be able to do 1 frame. 1 frame is what I want but 2 is now the smallest. Any idea why that change was made? Now I have to use 2 frames and then make it as a nested clip and make that clip play at 200% to get the right playback speed.
That's really strange. It started happening to me on my other computer. I opened a new project and tried to set it to 1 frame, and like you said it went to 2 automatically. What I did then was create a new sequence, then went back to the settings menu and it started letting me do 1 frame again. I don't know why..................
@@DavesChaoticBrain select all the photos click speed/duration, set to 00:00:01 which is one frame, click (i, in) at the beginning, and (O, out) at the end of the sequence. go to sequence, close gap ( and voila)

Great video! I think it is easier tho to create a subsequence and then just change the speed with the "time" settings
There were a good few tricks you showed here. Thanks!

Midnight GA down the quality, put it to 1/2 or even 1/4
That is only for viewing so when you export it it will be full qulaith
Jose Luis i did 1/4 it still lags a lot 💀
Lovely - nice and clear!
This’ll be very useful & helpful. Thank you.

how do you get the frame rate to exactly 15 fps, i've calculate 0.06666667 second in a frame but i cant convert it into the video duration for each frame?
create a 30 FPS sequence, and set each photo to 2 frames, and you're good to go
Everything I needed to know, thanks!
you're my savior
ok but how do I go to preferences if I have a PC ?
Thank you. This was helpful. I am doing your premiere pro course on udemy and it is also quite helpful.

Why don't you import the images as a sequence? Is there any difference to import the images and making a sequence in the timeline?
This is so helpful! Thankyou so much
How do I export it so I can see it on my phone for some reason i cant

Thanks, Phil. I'm really happy to know I can do stop motion with Premiere! Your explanation was thorough and easy to follow!
Thank you very much Sir.

Hey Dave, you can change to 1 frame if you want. I show this around 5:00
Except it doesn't work. It will only let me enter 2. If I type 1 and hit tab or click away from the field, it automatically changes back to a 2.

Video School Online That is odd. Maybe I'll try setting up a new project. Thanks.

Thanks a lot!!!!
that really helps
It automatically crops/ zooms in my images very much. Why? how do i resolve it ?
He somewhat covers that around 3:30, and goes into the effects control tab to scale it down. Frustrating that the program auto zooms though...
THANKS A LOT!
