Your explanation is good. But I have a question here. In the DAI scenario, if the switch is having a database of ip to mac mapping, why can't it give the reply to the ARP requesting node? Why it has to broadcast and inspect the reply? I think ARP request inspection is okay and the switch it self can send the reply, without doing the request BC and Reply Inspection.
