The "how to get there" guide is just amazing, I love it. Especially on the videos where you point out some roads being closed for certain times. This makes it so much easier for anyone not from around there to think about a trip.
Been skiing Espace Killy since the late 70's. The ski area is truly superb linking Val to Tignes. There's something for everyone with great pisted & off piste runs. I've always found the apres ski to be rather sterile & very expensive....the French don't do apres & the town fixes bar prices! The Folie Douce employs professional dancers to generate some atmosphere & pumps music out at max volume. A drink there will set you back €10 plus! If it's apres you're after, then Austria is different level! Bars rock with revellers from all over the world. St. Anton, Kitzbuhel & Saalbach are really worth checking out!.
@@jimjam6598 In Val you are village based & there is little need to jump on a ski bus or drive to ski areas. The ski area is vast & caters for all abilities. Chamonix requires buses or a car to access a rather spread out ski area. Very little beginner or intermediate skiing & the area attracts expert skiers & mountaineers.
Guys, some tips for better evaluation you need to tell: - How expensive is resort in general? Accomodation? Food on slopes? - Which dates are most and least popular? - Is resort a weekend destination (when you expect more people on slopes during weekend) or a whole week destination? - How good is slopes grooming? That would give lot more informative picture, than telling how to get there: you can google in two minutes.
the boat that wrecked mega expensive. Go into town at nights full off trust fund kids. Food expensive. I would suggest don’t know your age but go club med all inclusive will seem expensive at first when you pay but in the long run will save you a fortune. But if you’re a decent level skier on and off piste is fantastic. But I can’t stress enough val is one of the most expensive resorts in France be prepared for a truly wallet busting experience
get a condo with a kitchen...make your own food....late Feb early March....not too expensive, you're there for skiing not shopping...resort is more a vacation destination, not a weekend jaunt...grooming on a few blue runs only...I went there March 2023..it was spectacular....ski hard, eat a good dinner...get to bed early because this mountain is serious
thanks for the advice Gilles, we are planning to make several top 5 or top 10 ski resorts videos. also general but also particular ( like, best in Austria... best for apres ski, best for late season, etc') but we still have to film other resorts.
Turn airport looks closer, I wonder about the transfer time. Given there are plenty of blue and even green runs and not so many red and black I wonder why have you rated it 7 for beginners but 9 for advanced?
hi Tom, the score take in to account the value for money factor. beginners will enjoy in Val D'isere, but they can enjoy as much at much smaller ski areas and pay less
In a (overly commercialised, priced and crowded) hidden resort that costs you £1000 each on a skiing holiday that the drinkers in your party will spend it all hanging around outside La Folie Douce and nothing else. Going skiing. Not a drinking holiday in the snow.
I don't know about that, there's nothing quite like hitting the appres ski after taking the final lift up, coming down, having a few stiegels (I mainly ski Austria myself), bit of table dancing, and then back to the chalet, ready to hit the first lift in the morning! I think when done properly, skiing and drinking work very well!
There’s only 2 problems with val d isere is its one of the furthest resorts from Geneva. And the people who are on Le face who should’ still skiing blue runs
And Bourg is prounced "Boorg san mawreese"! This wound me up in the vidoe. I love the content but would expect an expert to know how to pronounce these!
just came back from there, highly recommend to all snowboarders of any level. #🏂 💙🗻
Wooo! Lovely video.
Thank you! 😃
This guys pronunciation makes me quite sad if I’m honest
Thomas Stack same on all their videos - all the places pronounced incorrectly !!
It’s not a real persons voice 🤷🏻♂️
I always heard about this ski resort, now I could see it. So beautiful, gave me the urge to go there
Shay Frenkel I’ve been 4 times fantastic place but eye watering prices
Don't its full of wankers
aquarius tingz let me know when you leave

Great ski videos every week! Good job the best I’ve seen so far these are so helpful! What resort are you thinking for the next video?

please reply with the name of the ski resort you want us to review next
Any but please change the narrator to a normal person who can pronounce the names properly and speak fluidly.
Great video!

food aint cheap. like 30 eur for a main course in a lot of restaurants. Food on slope would cost you around 10-15 eur mostly

Does anyone really care about km of pistes? I would rather hear number of lifts, if you're simply quantifying resort stats.

Amazing!
You should also try Tignes it’s close to val disere and la rosiere
Sorry for the poor spelling
Can you do a top 10 of the resorts you've reviewed?

The next video You should do is Morzine, avoriaz ski resort
we will shoot there in March. we've got many requests for a review on these resorts

and regarding Turin, it showed longer time when we checked. any way there's a tunnel with big toll price from Turin
travelers check OK fair enough
See you this Winter 24/25
its this place good to go skiing in late march early april??
If the snow base is good, you can ski here in April. I had an incredible week in April back in 2017. Jan-Mar is best if you want powder.
could you possibly do axamer lizum at some point
cocorico!!
I live there it is so nice especially chevalott and my apartment is really nice
impresssive
Coco Rico > folie
Jonny Goldsbrough yep
Good videos but please consider writing a more natural sounding script. It’s a bit like a computer is talking sometimes.

Sam Cox living the good life! 👍🔥
Keyser Söze why so salty? It has something for everyone. It’s one of the best resorts in the world
Great place for selling coke, balloons and ket 🤣 you can charge very high prices 😜
Looking up this place for a holiday and this is the first comment I see🤣 definitely booking now
They sell good quality snow here? 🤣
Are you gonna cover Zermatt?
check out Cervinia. It's the same.
Cervinia Italy side and zermatt Switzerland

Guy narrating the video drove me nuts!

We’ll get off Le Face and go ski off piste. Loads to choose from
Just some quick tips: You dont say 'e' in Tignes, in Val d Isere you say z not s , les is pronounced without 's'...
And Bourg is prounced "Boorg san mawreese"! This wound me up in the vidoe. I love the content but would expect an expert to know how to pronounce these!

bourg-saint-maurice and not "bourge" haha ;)
I agree. we are sorry for that, there's a chain of nationalities here, some with difficulties in that regard with pronunciations😏😅

Btw it is pronounced Val Di Zairrrr
