As an Asian person, I will support only China, Japan, and Thailand, Not just because of their performance, but because they have the passion that I can't find in Korean players. waste time watching this Korean team in VNL. 🙄🙄

I love Canada's development over the past year!!! I've watched a few of these ladies play collegiate volleyball and play like rockstars and it was only a matter of time before they started to piece it together. I hope they do well this season as a unit

Belgium is the one that should be playing in the vnl right now. Not Korea who didn't win any last time. But because of the core/challenger team BS , Korea gets to play here instead of the challenger cup.

@@whosmarilia he's actually a good coach but his style doesn't fit with Korean volleyball culture. I've seen this before in volleyball and other sports. Sometimes the style of a coach just doesn't fit with the players selected.
Korean move is slowly like western style that is very easy to be beaten by other teams in vnl. If they really love to play in this style, the team is necessary to have a key player like Kim.

@@angelab.2420 slower western style. teams with taller and harder hitting women like the ones u mentioned play slower. When you look at asian teams like japan and thailand they play a lot faster to accommodate for the height disadvantage

so sad to see how far Korea has fallen the past few seasons. They are so slow, and can't adapt to situations and end up tipping. Probably their last year at this level.

Coaching is not the factor for Korea, in fact, Ceasar is very analytical. Korean players have it too good in Korea. They (major/starting players) get paid way more than the skills they bring when compared to other nations. They have better facilities and staff amenities than some of the major league teams in the world. And fans that cheer for them no matter what based on things beyond their play. These factors make Korean players too comfortable and so they refuse to go play in more difficult leagues. So there is no growth mainly because all the Korean players are just used to playing against each other. At least Miyeon got to play. She can be a real dark horse sometimes, hopefully coach sees that.
very well said, they just decided not to improved internationally when they get paid a ginormous amount of money in Korea thinking they are the best. However, their true skills and mentality shows when they being sent internationally, fighting not to be in the lowest rank.

@@RobinC63 Give him better players to play with. It's the job of the league coaches/teams to maintain and train their skills. The national team coach in recent years (even the Korean ones) have only had the team for a few weeks after league play. Meaning there is no time for skills training but instead focus on teamplay, dynamics and strategy. And in the first place if you make the national team of any VNL-qualified country, your skills should be of a certain level. Most of the Korean players arent on that level. Not much you can do coaching-wise as his job is to play with what he has. I can't give you a plastic hammer and tell you to demolish a building.

They're not as confident as before. They're used to be world's number 9 during Kim's captain ship but she retires from the nt so..m
They don't have opportunities to play fast, because their service reception is very weak. Their setter has to chase the ball down every time because her passers can't get the ball inside the spike line. Only attacking choice is slow high balls to the outside. And Korea's outside hitters are not aggressive or athletic enough to play those balls.

As far as I know they beat Japan in the 2020 Olympics. That was with their original players. The young ones need more training although they have the stamina

They've eliminated Turkey during the QF last Olympic games and they finished 4th, but that was with KYK miracle,then poor performance overall after that.

Yep...utk menemukan Kim baru bukan perkara gampang, bahkan jika liga mereka bisa dibilang kompetitif, tapi utk sekarang nyatanya tidak. Liga Korea terperosok secara co-efficient, belum lagi divisi II mereka yang minim tim, dan divisi III yang udah lenyap sejak 2015. Untuk mencari bakat baru hampir semua olah raga di Korea mengandalkan sistem Collegial mirip seperti NCAA di AS.
