i think u should plant a mongolian giant sunflower there huge actually there the biggest sunflower there like 14 foot I have that variety that you had they grew about 10 feet

Do all sunflowers produce the "sunflower seeds"? The edible seeds? I have 4-5 that have grown like CRAZY by accident. Raccoons got into a couple bags of the bottom catch tray clean out from my mother-in-laws African Grey parrot. It's crazy how fast and big they grow. Within a week of noticing it 2 of them were 6'+.
I believe there are some sterile varieties of sunflowers that are hybrids but almost all of them produce edible seeds especially those from bird seed mixes. That’s pretty cool though we’ve had a few pop up in random places that I think the birds brought in from neighboring bird feeders. They do grow incredibly fast!
I have a sunflower plant with 5 sunflower head and notice the flowers are wilting ,Do i have to cut some of the sunflowers to strenghten the other sunflowers? TY

How long from the time you pick them? To start them I honestly just toss them out on the ground and sprinkle some soil over them that’s it!

We usually pull them up after the roots have decomposed a bit.

Yes usually but in the right conditions they can get much larger. Plant close together and they will stay smaller. About 8 inches apart or so.

No you shouldn’t have to. The flowers don’t last very long so that’s probably just the lifespan. I would leave them so you can have more seed.

Oh are they planted close together? If they are closer than 12” they will stay small and struggle a bit more.
Do animals like squirrels bother them ?

Will they grow with corn ?
Yes they actually are a great companion plant for corn because they attract beneficial predator insects.

Grey stripe/Russian Mammoth and American giant.

No they don’t. You could roast them plain or you could even ad sugar or other spices.

😂 It was just leaf foot they don’t bite I usually kill them because they suck moisture from the plants.

You find them on Amazon or you can buy bird feed sunflower seeds and plant those!
