Apparently before the show had even been cast, like a couple years before or something, Matthew Morrison (Will) and Lea Michele (Rachel) had dated for (this is a quote) 'a Broadway beat'
yeah i mean, quinn lying isn't great but i do understand why she wants to act like it never happened and she's in denial it seems she's in denial to even to herself (which is why she can't even tell finn) about the puck thing because he did purposely get her drunk to have sex with her which is messed up and i feel like the show doesn't really mention how messed up it really is how puck did that and it's a bit brushed over but i still give her a pass more than someone like terry who is a fully grown woman faking a pregnancy versus someone in high school in denial about having a baby with someone who took advantage of her it's shitty for finn but will is also shitty to finn basically blackmailing him to join glee, i've just learned to appreciate glee more knowing most of these characters aren't saints because there isn't one character who hasn't done something really shitty besides maybe a handful if that lol quinn is my favorite character though (so i am biased) but i admit i was never happy with her lying to finn so i get it
Matt, and Mike are the only ones off the top of my head that never did anything horrible. Everyone else has either been a suffocating diva, vindictive shit-stirrer, manipulative schemer, or creepy stalker at one point or another. A few have been all of those things. But Matt Rutherford and Mike Chang were honestly mostly Drama-free. (Granted, one of them had next to no lines, but he was still officially in the glee club)
I can't help but sympathise with Quinn throughout all of this. She's no hero and definitely has corrupt morals, but she's a product of her environment. Mean adults create mean kids, and they all constantly lie. Quinn is in high school, unexpectedly pregnant and dealing with everything that comes with it, no real support system or adult role models and now she's homeless. She's spoiled and privileged, she isn't used to having to fend for herself because everything has always come easy to her. Quinn is realising Finn is immature and won't be able to support her and is starting to see Puck as a possible lifeline. Clearly it's awful she's lying to Finn but she was the head of the celibacy club, head cheerleader and her parents. Enough said. There is immense pressure on her and she's a kid. She feels like she needs to at least make it a neat mess (rather than being exposed for cheating) and come out of it better off. It's a confusing time and she has no one she can genuinely trust to help her through it. Quinn's been failed by everyone around her and now she has 9 months to get over all that and grow up to be a mother. Shit is toughhhhh
5 seasons later, Mercedes sings I'll Stand By You to remember Finn. It's kinda ironic. Finn sang this for the baby before it was born and Mercedes sang it for Finn's death. Cory we miss you. This episode was so weird. Rachel's crush on shue, Kurt having feelings for Finn way before they became brothers
Quinn is sympathetic due to how her parents but unsympathetic letting Finn think he was the father. I don’t think Mercedes was thinking that way but I love Mercedes and her voice. Artie has a great voice too.
I mean I don't understand how people forget that Finn is cheating too.. not as the "same lvl" but still? That's the point, they're all wrong and just teenagers. We can feel bad for both! (yes watching the 2years later)
Don’t rain on my parade from funny girl is a ballad. The speed of the song has nothing to do with the definition of a ballad. It has a beginning, middle, and end.

A thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton isn’t a ballad, but plenty of people would think it is. But the song doesn’t have a story with a beginning, middle and end. It just circles around itself.
Not the best episode but one of my favorite performances. Lean on me is such a simple, wholesome song yet it’s very powerful at the same time and they keep that spirit.

The drama moments on this show are very real, it's really well done. When you can check out Help Me Now by our Artie (Kevin McHale) it's quite catchy
