    "Who needs that much power"? Me! I do! I like using the phone in the capacity that I am paying for lol. I agree Juan.

      @@jammies701It's about time average consumers stop glorifying sellout influencers and focus more on real techies like Juan. The latter really knows what they're talking about.

    Too bad it is expensive in Europe, even during the stock clearance of the big chain electronics stores it wen for 850 or somehting, it usually goes for 1000+. But that might just be Greece

    God, Vivo could be my daily driver brand if they would release their flagship model in europe too.
    Loved the x90 pro plus but the chinese rom had some issues.
    But the camera,… man it kills everything out there. 😅

    4:04 That's what I love about Sony phones for keeping this simple. If I want an outright premium flagship phone, I buy the Xperia 1. If I care about screen size and battery life, I go for Xperia 5. If I only want Sony experience on the cheap, then the Xperia 10 is the choice.
    It really couldn't have been any simpler than that.

    But Juan, SoC brands are like luxury brand underwear. If it matters that much they're not worth it. This analogy has failed but basically snap dragons are just gooderer and not having it in there means poor!

    The X90 Pro has been very tempting coming from the x60 pro plus, but I didn't switch because I got set on the X90 Pro+. . Hopefully Vivo will bring the next top end phone globally. What has me more drawn to the newer phone is the 1 inch sensor and Zeiss colour modes, which I missed by so little (since the feature was launched on the x70 series but never made it to the x60 series). This video and your coverage of all the various phones is much appreciated! It is one of the reasons I bought the x60 pro plus in the first place. Been a pleasant experience owning it.
    On an unrelated note, can you tell me if Google camera ports work on the dimensity chipset? The Big Kaka developed variation with features like adding custom luts for photography are a big draw for me deciding when I will switch to a new phone

      I have the Vivo X60 pro global unlocked and upgraded to the Vivo X80 Pro Global unlocked it was a nice upgrade but still use both phones for photography. I'm very excited to see what Vivo brings to the global market next year.

      @@jayhealth5264 I really wanted the x80! So x60 pro plus got the green line display issue and eventually since the service centre couldn't find a replacement spare part for almost a month, I was offered an upgrade to the x90 (not the pro. . ) for a small fee and I am so impressed with the service provided by Vivo and the phone itself. It is so good! Been a blast so far

    Hi, should I wait for the x100 pro probably comming out in december or should I be happy enough with the x90? I am not a professional photographer I just want to be able to make nice effect for my growing up baby with out buying a new phone, camcorder and a camera ( I used to like them with manual zoom and focus but on a phone i expect it to be able to do the same in app). 200Mpixel seems abused does it? thanks in advence

    I imported the x90 pro Plus back at the beginning of June and since then I used it very intensively for emulating games (using Yuzu and Skyline) but also for daytime and nighttime photography.
    I still don't understand why Vivo didn't add the Sports mode fast capture in the default Photo mode like Xiaomi. Why do I have to scroll in the menu when I want to take a photo of a moving subject and risk losing the chance to take the photo?????😮‍💨
    The fast charging also is very convenient.
    The IR remote I also used it from time to time when couldn't find the one that came with my TV.
    I also love the Mood Cube for customizing my app icons, and the Window Style (which has the Mono, Time, and Blur effects)
    One thing that I want Vivo to improve is the Texture color that is trying to do something similar like the Leica photos, but it the mode it dosen't do a great job at it and I also want Vivo to add it own Desktop mode like Motorola and Samsung (I don't want to thinker in the developer mode with the settings to use an optimized version of the desktop mode)

    • @antonspasskiy9685
      @antonspasskiy9685 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree with you regarding sports mode, but 2 workarounds work for me when I want to take a shot of a fast object:
      1. While in camera app, you can hold volume button and take a burst, and then select and save the best photo.
      2. You can assign Sports mode to "hold volume -" accessibilty gesture. Then if you need a quick shot - you don't even unlock your phone. Just hold "volume -" in blocked state and the camera will open in Sports mode

    As a owner of a Vivo X90, I gotta say the conversation that it lies at the pinnacle of premium phones and borrows features from the Ultra tier is spot on. It's in a manner that going Ultra feels extension of already existing features.
    Zoom? 2x/10x/20x but going ultra can take a whole lot
    Main camera depth of field? f/7.4 equivalent is quite a lot but you can go f/5 equivalent with the 1 inch sensor
    Main screen resolution? 1.5k is higher than 1080p but you can go more with 2k
    Honestly the biggest gripe I have with the phone is the vibration motor and speakers. For that, they definitely went subpar for sure. 300 USD phones have much better than this

    Great review Juan - here is one more feature that an LG fan like you would only appreciate - the Vivo X90 Pro has a built in CS43131 hi res DAC - I tested it by using a Moto Z analog USB C adapter and toggling HIFI mode for apps like Qobuz and UAPP and the results rival or beat those of LG Quad DAC phones like my LG G8X. It's actually the main reason I got this phone so yeah

    • @SomeGadgetGuy

      @@SomeGadgetGuy numbers are your arena :) but subjective comparisons vs. LG B&O G5 module, G8X and Vivo Nex S demonstrate a very composed sound output with support for almost all apps now - the tuning is impeccable and "to my ears"superior to the LG Quad DAC phones. The Vivo X100 Pro specs don't show the DAC anymore just a generic Hifi support statement so not sure this feature will live on

    The real question is, in 6 months, how much data did it collect

    • @SomeGadgetGuy
      @SomeGadgetGuy  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      According to the rules set out by the GDPR, and the most recent study comparing Chinese ROMs against International ROMs, probably less personal data than an iPhone using Google search.
