      @user-jt3dw6vv4x ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonatand2045 Except we can see other universes, the other universes being developing democratic Asian countries. Yes but capitalism doesn't equal democracy. The CCP revolutionised is governing style under Deng Xiaoping. It is Deng that helped significantly in part to China becoming what it is today. Had it not been for his economic reforms, China would've remained poor throughout.
      It's also very safe to say that China would never be what it is today had it been a democratic nation. All of Asia's high income nations became high income through the work of authoritarian or authoritarian-leaning governments. South Korea's economic miracle began under Dictator Park Chung-hee and Singapore became an Asian Tiger under Lee Kuan Yew (not a dictator but a hard-line leader that has been criticised by elements in the West).

    Why is UN so ineffective. UN was founded to prevent from the horrors of WW2 from happening ever again, right? Yet, there's Ukraine, Gaza.
    And there are many other conflicts happening in the world that are overshadowed by Russian - Ukraine war and Israel - Palestine conflict. Like the coup from Myanmar. I'm from Myanmar and it's been nearly 3 years. The world seems to forget about Myanmar. Well, we only have to rely on ourselves. 'cause help is not coming.

      Why is the UN so ineffective? When they set up the UN, the most powerful countries were not motivated enough to join it unless they had veto power over every significant action the UN might take. A UN without the USA, China, or Russia would be ineffective, so the rest of the countries agreed. The UK and France were also very powerful at the time, so they also have permanent veto power.

    Война в Украине тяжело ударила по экономике ее союзников, признала в интервью Би-би-си первая леди Украины. Но если жители западных стран вынуждены считать копейки, чтобы платить по счетам за газ, украинцы считают еще и убитых, констатировала Елена Зеленская.
    Елена Зеленская призвала Запад продолжать поддерживать Украину несмотря на экономический кризис и выразила надежду, что человеческие жертвы ее страны не будут забыты.

    So many factors go into how we view each and every one of these topics. Sadly, and not shockingly, Time stays severely biased and pessimistic as it pertains to this, Year In Review. Far too many of us are in the middle of the 2 radical and ideological factions of our government. We wish there was a person who could unite the country, represented all of us, and sought prosperity and peace, but every single cycle, it's the same 2 sides of the same coin. We are all exhausted and struggling in some way. We are taught to be kind to each other. Agendas from both parties seem to harm someone. Honestly, Indivisible is a joke, when we all are fed that daily. The days that media appears, send me a notification.

    So many people in the West are scared of AI and criticising it and I understand their reservations but AI will also open up so many doors for the progression of human civilisation and for other beings. In Asia, it's the opposite, because the surveys have shown most people there are open to it and the region's biggest AI-linked countries (China, Japan, South Korea, India, Singapore) have refused to regulate AI, instead waiting to see how it progresses before putting a cap on its influence. Europe is demanding Asia regulate AI and I just can't support that. Human civilisation has progressed through multiple eras ever since the first humans emerged so AI is the next frontier in human development.
