hi josh, this is a pretty long question, thanks beforehand. I played some time with a pairs of cheap old mercurials and never had a major problem with them, but they started to became old so decided to go for a more expensive pair and got the puma evopower k, which were a huge difference in terms of comfort and sensibility with the ball (I know they are not prefect, but they look just great). but now I'm have this problem with throwing long balls, I don't know if you have ever heard something similar, but it's much harder for me to kick a long ball with the part of the shoe where the laces are, the ball tends to get an inside curve and a lower elevation when I'm looking for a floated, straight, high ball. I never had this problem with any of my previous shoes (always cheap nike/adidas). I don't know if it's related with how I kick the ball or the shape of my foot or something in the shape of the shoe or the fact that they are k leather. Now for serious games I'm using the old mercurials but they are falling apart so I'm looking for a new pair, but don't want to have the same problem again, do you have any tips for what should I look for in a new pair? Comparing both shoes I can see a difference in their "shape", the mercurials look more "pointy" if you look them from the side and more symmetrical if you look them from above, do you think that that might be a reason?
I just got these today in my normal 10uk and they are definitely too tight length wise and my 9.5uk superfly v's fit tiny bit long. But if I remember correctly I'm sure you said the x17's and superfly v's both fit true to size?
Hi Josh. So I alternated between ACE 16.1 leather and 16.1 primeknit throughout my last season. Recently I thought of giving the 17+ a try, but I realized that if I got the same size as I did the 16.1s, the 17+ was longer in length!? Did you encounter this as well? Thanks.
is the collar restrictive at all? (could you compare to nike hypervenom II collar?) id really appreciate a quick response as im in a bit of a hurry to find new boots
My feet are wide and my mid foot is pretty wide too. Do you think the laceless predator would fit me better than the laceless ace purecontrol because the sock on the predator stretches more
this shoe is beautiful, especially the blue one, beautiful night sky looks. But, not comfortable at all if your foot is a little bit wider. From the performance side, stick the ball well, but not good for other sides, like shot or long pass, from my personal experience.

josh i own the intersport blue blast pure control and i love the nice snug fit and i have no heel slippage and minimal rollover i love thim i feel like i am the perfect fit for the boot though i doubt i actually have lol anyway i wiil soon need a new pair of boots as my pure controls are very worn i would love to buy a new pair of pure controls but i like to change it up to try new shoes that could be more perfect for my foot so my foot type is very similar to the purecontrols last so would u have any more recommendations on a couple of pairs will be much appriciated
If this boot is so inferior from a performance standpoint why are pro players wearing it? Yeah I know that they have customized versions, but your problem is the absence of laces causing not enough lockdown and their boots clearly don't have laces either? And at least talk about how the feel or touch on the ball is different(if there is any difference)? That's literally the most interesting aspect of this boot and you spend half the video talking about the color??...smh
Custom fitted boots makes the world of difference, especially if they're going to be laceless. As far as performance differences because of the laceless aspect, there's more bulk, not less. Like I talk about in the video, people are thrilled about the fact that these are laceless, but does that actually offer any benefit in regards to touch, the answer is no.

The difference is a thinner or more padded upper. Sounds like you prefer a thinner boot.

It will help a little bit, but still doesn't solve the problem.
