You got the meaning completely right. This is my favourite live version of the song but sadly they don't show the screen. Till wears the camera on his eye so when the cradle starts burning a video of a baby starts throwing up blood and burning. Any other performance of the song normally has the camera cut to it except this one but vocally this video is the best one imo. Glad you liked it! I couldn't pick a better one for halloween
The song is about how forgotten children become violent. the song is from the face of a little boy whose sister works as a prostitute and locks him in the next room, but he can still watch it through the keyhole. Describes how one day two "clients" kill his sister. To all this is added the constant medication trip of this boy, because he began to have mental problems from what he saw. And in the chorus, it is described that this child calms down only when he breaks the doll (imitates the murder of a person)
I've been a Rammstein fan since 1998 and I thought I'd heard pretty much every vocal style Till has to offer. And then the latest album dropped! His vocals in the chorus are nuts and the subject matter is so dark, intense and sad. This is a highly underrated masterpiece.
My interpretation. The song is about a child's soul destroyed by the circumstances in which it lives. The sister, maybe also the mother, works as a prostitute. The child is sedated with drugs and a doll (Puppe). The child does not want to live and destroys the doll. When the prostitute is murdered by a suitor, it is saved. He sings "I'm fine now".
Seeing this live is even more creepy: with the camera on his head you get the impression that the footage you see an the big screens is live but they actually show you an animated version of this "child" inside the strollers and than you can see the child burn and spit out creepy black stuff from its mouth and then the whole crowd gets showered in these black strips of plastic...

Found it!!! Because aN live in the ease end finishers my broadband is horrendously slow so it hadn't loaded up when I checked previously. I am having major issues with it being slower than normal at the moment. I will need to check out what else I have missed. F*****g computers!!!!!!

Knowing that the story in this song looks way more horrifying. Unfortunately, English translation failed in delivering this.

i think the black confetti represents the ashes of the baby raining into the audience. pretty badass.
