@@Marzimus One of the best games on the NES easily!!! It’s funny to think that for the rest of time, unless some horrible catastrophe befalls us, these videos will serve as humanity’s way to conquer these 8-bit masterpieces. 200 years from now someone will hear a joke about the 1980s and have to do their closest thing to googling it.

This was the first game I looked through your videos for. I had about given up hope that it would ever get any recognition in the modern era. You do great work, and I thank you for it.
I never knew this thing existed until this wound up in my playlist -- and that's shocking, as a 1980s / 1990s kid who once owned an NES and subscribed to Nintendo Power for years and years. There are many obscure titles (especially those never released in the U.S.) that I often don't know much about, but I really didn't expect it for something in THIS genre -- I thought I knew all the 8-bit era RPG/Adventure games! I definitely wish it had been advertised more heavily.
Maze in the second world I had one of my most memorable moments. My grandmother yelled at me for putting masking tape on the TV. I was marking the pits in the corridor. Totally worth it.
I found this one Friday at blockbuster when I was a kid and initially only rented it because all the “good” games were gone. That was one hell of a Friday night me and my brother stayed up all night and again Saturday just completely hooked but making slow progress lol. I liked it so much I bought it after I had to return the rental copy. I’m lucky in the fact I was old enough to be working in the mid to late 80’s so I amassed a huge nes library that I kept to this day. I’m pretty much going week to week waiting for him to do one I don’t own so I have an excuse to plug the few holes in my collection lol. Honestly hoping for a Link to the past and the rest of the mega man and Castlevania series fingers crossed 🤞
Oh wow! I'm beyond impressed with its design. From the beautiful sprites of people's faces, to actually showing the Robot translating, to characters telling you about secrets and making the playthrough quite playable (and less annoying), to Oracle of Ages Time-Travel mechanics. Not to mention having both Zelda 1 combat, and turn-based combat on the same game? This is an impressive NES game that does NOT have all the obtuse and annoyances of first developers, and an even more interesting 2nd version (how often did that happen)! Now I'm quite interested in the Japanese version (visuals and names of spells).
It's so wild to me that I never heard of this game at all until only a couple of years ago. Everything I've seen about it makes me think it would have been right up my alley as a fan of old Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior games (though I guess they were new at the time). The turn based battles aren’t random so much. The hits go in order from one to the next. And if you didn’t notice, when you cast oprin with 1 MP left at level 2, you drank mashroob and went up to 50 MP (max MP is 20 at level 2). Gotta love the old bugs. Like most here, I learned about it fairly recently. Graphics were nice looking, but I'd heard it was much more difficult than it is, so always held off. Definitely wish there was more to the series, and significantly less flashing colours. I love that sometimes multiple things change colour because they were all tied to the same plane or whatever, shows you the limitations they were working with. Great video and great jokes! Worth the paltry 1 day wait for this huge gift!
That’d be fun! I just played thru seasons then kinda fizzled out on the end of ages. I played seasons on my GB but couldn’t find a cart of ages to used an emulator on my n64 Everdrive to play ages.

This game was so good took me forever to beat it as a kid.
Never played or even heard of this game. But I love long episodes 😃
Here to like and comment for the algorithm. I'll come back and watch the whole thing a bit later. Thanks for the great content!
Love your content! Look forward to it every weekend. Would love to see Zelda oracle of seasons/ages back to back weekends.
Naw, he gotta do Rollergames first.
That’d be fun! I just played thru seasons then kinda fizzled out on the end of ages. I played seasons on my GB but couldn’t find a cart of ages to used an emulator on my n64 Everdrive to play ages.
My tied for 2nd favorite zelda games(1 is links awakening), I'd love this!
I loved this game when I first played it 30 years ago. I still love it today.
A lot of people really liked Bootsy from the Angry Video Game Nerd channel in the past. He had a very comforting and relaxed demeanor and very much had the same attitude of "If I can do, you can to" and that feeling really rings true with this channel. Amazing stuff you got here 👍
The Dan Akroyd pun had me dying. That was well executed. Very well played sir.
This is channel is criminally underrated tbh
My man, I’ve been watching the ads without skipping so you can get the most profit out of them. Please continue making these awesome videos 👍
Bravo! This was quite the ride. I'll have to actually play this one for the first time, now.
Love this channel! Keep up the quality content.
I'm suprised there wasn't a bad endding for having so much debt. Being able to rob the merchant reminds me of the way to get the best gear at the beginning of Ultima.
Yes! Yes! Yes! What an underrated game. Thanks for reviewing and showcasing it.
Thank you for this. Taking the time to do this. I remember this game well. Thought it was really good.
Childhood fave. Such an ambitious game design for that time and they absolutely nailed it.
Dang, another one I have never heard of! Love relaxing with your videos after work. Thanks for all you do for us!
This is the best birthday present I received all year. Hahaha. You are a national treasure
Awesome videos. The work that goes into them is amazing. Thank you for making them.
I am so glad you did a video for this game. I played this many years ago but could never beat the Salamander. I also made the mistake of playing the Warrior instead of the Magician. Now I can go back and finally beat this video game.
It’s finally here! Let’s go!
Watching now, but your videos are always excellent.
Crazy that the grim reaper follows you even through the Time door
Oh hey! You did an episode of Phelous' favorite game! *The Magic of...*
_Sh-... Sherry? ... Sh-... Sher-ray-za..._
... *His favorite game!*
Love this game so much. Also very much enjoyed the little AVGN shout-out.
Fave channel. Period. Great work!
