- In this video we look at how pagers and pager networks operate. Specifically this video focuses on the POCSAG protocol and uses a HackRF One with the PortaPack and the Havoc firmware to send POCSAG messages to an Apollo Gold pager. We will also use GQRX with an RTL-SDR to understand Frequency Shift Keying (FSK).

Excellent intro to POCSAG and FSK. Your description is crystal clear. Thanks for making the video for us.

Its about to blow up 🤣🤣🤣
Definitely worth a subscribe. Thank you for this free lesson it is super informative and better to learn from your voice than trying to read the dry material in a book. Looking forward to more, going to have to dig out an old pager
This was an amazing introduction, and super clear too. I learnt some stuff
Thanks for a great vid and learning me some new things 👍🏻🇬🇧
But teach what the settings are on the hackRF1.
Very helpful, thanks 👍
Nice video! Just one thing: POCSAG uses 7-bit ASCII :)
You could buy any Raspberry Pi prior to v4 and use the rpitx software to transmit POCSAG.
Very good video.
Can the vibrations be controlled as well?
How did you go about configuring the hack rf with the pager settings?
What kind of antena is it? Where can buy or what a model?
So that sleep/awake "trick" allows the battery to last about double the time, is that correct?
Where can I buy a pogsac transmitter? and only there is on uhf, or can i buy it with vhf too?
