Leaders are readers. Dr. Sam summarized about 10 books, journals and publications in this short interview. Education is not scam after all. Thank you Sir.

Dr Sam Adeyemi is very learned. Every leader that wants to succeed should have him very close.

I think the Dr is very calm and intelligent...sounds quite well read...
I agree with the part where you aluded that we can not progress beyond the vision of our leaders, I also believe that we need to build a culture of leadership right from the ground up....but that is not going to be easy sir, you said it yourself, people are desperately trying to survive in the hard economy created by bad leadership that they hardly got the time or the focus to discuss the future right now...and just like you also said, our leaders are driven by MONEY...so in my opinion intellectuals like you should focus their energy in finding out way to establish a system that can hold anybody ACCOUNTABLE to their actions including leaders, to me why leaders don't feel the need to do right by their people is because they know the can get away with short changing them.
The point is....our quick fix will be to help judicial institution to work for all Nigerians. Thank you

This man is a gift to our Generation and Country. I feel "light" inside me listening to him. The foundation of a nation is "culture" and culture trump's "strategy".

Great recommendations Dr Sam. However, if they invest in education and skills acquisition, then the people will become empowered to make objective and value-based choices and take their destinies in their own hands. Overtime we would have a society of highly skilled, visionary, value-oriented and patriotic people .This kind can challenge status quo, hold the politicians/leaders accountable, refuse mediocrity, and demand positive change .This kind of society is not favorable to the selfish, self-serving and parochial politician who will prefer to loot/hoard resources, keep the economically vulnerable in society and the unskilled youth subservient to them ,so that they are only useful for thuggery and crime; tools in their hands for rigging elections, so they can perpetuate themselves in Government.

Leadership tilts in the direction of value system. It's the body of value parameters or the kind of worldview that makes the leader.
A society that has a grotesque picture of what smartness should be, that's being dubious, evasive and the likes, will only operate distorted leadership concept. This can only results in emergence of leaders of questionable character that we have today.
Hence, attention has to be drawn to the cultivation of sound societal values in order to achieve the desired paradigm shift in leadership.

The best form of teaching is practical examples, real-life scenarios. Define what is happening and tell the people the expected outcome. The truth is categorical. Hence, my love for the Physical Sciences. Define a person, and you would know how they will behave. The book of Proverds. Asks a politician direct questions e.g. what is your job? Or what are you employed to do? And the character will be exposed.

"We treat our leaders like Kings" Most of our leaders want to be treated this way. They and the masses do not understand that leadership is serving the people. I have people in my family who believe they should automatically be made the leader no matter what the issue is. Ethics, integrity, governance, and a good dose of meritocracy get you a long way.

The leadership problem of Nigeria can be traced in it's foundation.

No disrespect, but leadership in the church is so very different from leading a company or functioning in a political office. We can quote from books and get all theoritical. That is so very convenient.

They are actually the same. The difference is context not the principles that are discussed here.

The principles he quoted are works of research into politics and Hunan psychology. Try and apply it in any leadership area then come back and make your practical comments.

You can say all you want about pastors who run churches & make lot of money off it but can't show a working venture outside of the church set up...Sam Adeyemi isn't one of those! Sam is different!
