That response wasn’t even funny. At all. You’re just conditioned to respond to the verbal formulae and stimuli. Like when the laugh track plays on a sitcom of the groove bass plays in a hospital drama. It’s a laugh cue.

“You keep telling me to say less, I’m not going to” was one of my favorite lines
Somebody had to say it. That is such a terrible slang phrase. For one the words themselves are a command "say less"....which you shouldn't be commanding anyone to do anything.
2 what you mean to say is "I understand", so why are you telling the other person what to do.
@@farfromirrational948 say less essentially just means that you’ve been persuaded with what you’ve just been told.
Eg. “Go jump off that cliff” the response “say less”. *jumps*
Or “go jump off that cliff”…
“why?”…
“Because it’s fun”…
“Say less” *jumps*
It’s not that bad a saying if used appropriately
@@timefficient repeating something I obviously already understood is the opposite of time efficiency.
If you want me to further persuade you that it is overall a negative use of language you could just ask 🤪
@@farfromirrational948Here we can see an autist in the wild struggling to understand that language isn’t just for communicating unique information as fast as possible
@@farfromirrational948 you just made it out like “say less” was a command though when it’s merely a reply, just like “I understand”, though those phrases are not entirely the same anyway.
I would say that say less means both you understand and agree and that you don’t need any more convincing , which just reinforces the reason why slang exists in the first place, the convenience of not having to be so articulate while still getting the message across… and probably to help express some character as well. Nothing wrong with that is there?

This is so wise and yet so silly at the same time. It makes me think of great Tibetan teachers. They will be laughing and encouraging you to laugh at death and the most serious teachings. It's really beautiful
Can they teach me to laugh at the Dalai Lama trying to suck a kid's tongue? I'm permanently hooked up to a respirator cause I couldn't stop laughing at that when I first heard it. I have no lungs but I must laugh.

@@louieschwartzywah I know it didn’t seem that funny to me just genuine, i’m confused as to why the other guy laughed so hard, was it the keys or something else?
@@bigballerdefault1054it was more or so like a gay joke. He says he’s adjusting to his character, but then comes back and says basically im interested in you too 😅
@@AHnnssy I think it's supposed to be a full circle. He didn't laugh at the original joke, but then when the guy said he's starting to warm up to his character, he brought back the original joke by bringing back the focus of the main joke (keys) to prove his original joke with a new one, causing the guy to laugh. This also shows that he "got" the joke; He received the keys (joke.)
I originally thought it was a race joke, but after thinking about it a little more this is what seemed more logical, either way, most jokes are funny because of the delivery and the ease of understanding, which this guy does really well. So it's funny regardless.
