I would rather go overpowered than underpowered. You never know what size of tuna your boat run into. If I run into 50-100 pounder, I can swap leader to 80lbs and have a chance. If you start with talica10, no chance.
@@BTC_SF makes sense to me 👍the rod looked a little beefy but it put the hurt on the fish. Looked like you were testing to see if that 25# line would bust lol
$20 for rod and single speed reel. Also they gave me a couple of hooks and sinker. The price is for a full day trip. I brought my own reel though. Tight lines!
Great job showing the your cast, hook up and fight to the end!
Love that boat and crew.... Nice job with the Blues...
Went to Mission Belle few days after, caught 4 bluefin in total. Great fighting!
Thanks! It’s a great boat for a full day.
Nice job on the bluefin and successfully landing all you hooked!
Thanks for a great video 👍
Was pretty cool watching fish take ur minnow👍🎣,nice job
Job well done good bluefin fishing I really enjoyed the video
great work, nice job pulling on those fish!
Thanks sir. Need to improve but getting better😅
@@BTC_SFwere they chumming up the water?
Yes
Nice to see the bite in your videos.
The most exciting part of fishing! I wish I could capture the last bite I hooked one with stick bait in a foamer!
Mission belle ia a great boat. We were on it on 7/22/23. We caught more than any other charter including the over nighters
💯%!🤙
@@BTC_SFhow much do these charters cost
This was open party not charter
@@wazup3333 $240 for a full day in 2023
Cool video man,put me right on the rod🎣✌
Got me holding my breath man 😂🎣👍
Goood stuff !
Was just out there on the 25th about 1 1/2 hrs out from mission bay. It was a good time.

Nice video man.
Thank you sir 🙏
Nice light drag on the fish 🤘
Thanks! Never used #25 leader before. Can’t be too careful 😅
Hot Rod, Biter, Sorry then at the end, F..k! Pretty funny and those fish are Amazing, even 30lbrs
Thanks for watching!
you could have used a way lighter reel. tac16 is pretty big for 25lb test
What’s a good reel for 25# line?
That reel does look a little big but has big drag system too.

@@BTC_SF I’ve got a 40# set up that I’ll try putting 25# leader on. I like your way of thinking 👍👍
This rod was rental rod for #30 leader. I swapped with my Tac16 with #25 leader. Fish were picky this week and #25 get bit better than #30.
You said you had the reel set at 8lb drag ?
8lbs for 25# leader is about right
Did he just say hot rod? 😂
😂😂😂
I’m sure he meant to say hot rail lol
@@fvaldez714 I'm assuming that's what he meant
How much you paid for the rental gear?thanks!

@@BTC_SFyoure live lining the fish right? What's the sinker for
I left my cheap, cut resistant gloves at home once, only once. $11.00 means a lot!
I have never seen a guy go under like the guy with the hat and back pack.
There’s always an alternative (creative) solution to a problem 😉
Why you change your bait suppose to be no more than 1 minute
That’s the flyline 101 but it’s fine as long as your bait is running like bait.
muaj sij hawm no tuaj caum kuv thiab os
Why not just click into low gear and use the rail? You dont needa pump the rod just to fight a 30lber for 20 minutes
I’m using low gear. Each fish took like 5 min. I don’t use rail for 30# fish
Thats a baby
