Do you by chance have the tour link to see final quality of the tour and stitching ~ even if just a couple scan positions

Watching that stand wobble as the phone turn, I would love to see the output on a dark room?
The result at the end of the video came from the wobbly stand, but you can hold the stand or use a heavier one (its a regular 1/4 - 20 screw), in general I suggest to never shoot 3d mapping in poor light conditions.
@@saldalia1 How do you know if the conditions are poor? Client books you and you show up and work no matter what. That’s just how it is.

I counted 4, 8 when you do 3d mapping because you need a second 360 to do the bottom or top part of the room.

Hi! I am trying to figure out if this mount can be used to shoot and/or stitch 360's and not have to upload them to Matterport. Can you use it to help you accurately capture the 360 and do the stitching in another program like PT Guy or Lightroom etc? I am a hobbyist and have been looking for an iPhone mount like this but don't want to host the 360 photos on Matterport Can you just buy the mount, shoot the photos and play with them outside of the Matterport service? Thanks!

Looks like there is a lot of shake on that monopod as the gimbal spins and stops. Does it matter?
I noticed that it doesnt because the shutter its incredibly fast (it can be used also handheld), I also used my big iPhone with case so a smaller phone wont be as heavy and you can hold the tripod or use a stronger one (I used the matterport tripod which is extremely compact and lightweight).
Does the software work with Android too? Can I have the photo and publish it in another software or does it just work with the Matterport system?
There's also an android version! I only played within the matterport website, I didn't check if you can export files from the website but I can check soon.
Can museums use this to create virtual tours to guide patrons through their exhibits? E.g., can we label things in the room?
Yes and I believe many are already using Matterport Pro, now with the Axis even smaller museums and galleries can do it.
I'm curious how this compares to using a Theta Z1, especially when it comes to speed of workflow.
It'll be much slower than the z1, try the mobile app and you'll see how much longer it takes, it's the reason why I went with the z1 instead of using a phone.

I’m new to Matterport and thinking of investing in equipment. Trying to understand if you have this ‘Axis’ unit… do you still need the more expensive Pro2 3D kit or is that redundant now? What is the difference between the 2 kits apart from the huge price differential? 🤔

Thank you for watching. The mount works in Bluetooth with the app so it's made specifically for this purpose, not sure if they will develop a manual control for the mount.
Great thanks. Does the camera turn 3 time : horizontal, focus to the top an to the botton? Can we see result, are you happy with it?

Can we really use any phone to do 3D scan? We can use photo 360 with anyphone. But 3D scan? My Redmi Note 7 has depth camera.
