    The pre-loading pop principle is what i found out myself learning to ollie over a street cone. It applies to almost every tricks that has a pop in it.
    I know a bit of martial arts and one thing my teacher told me is that most people focus more on the speed of the projectile rather than the WEIGHT.
    Power = Speed × Mass. That means we have to emphasize both for maximum power output. Imagine slapping yourself really fast with a feather, it wouldn't hurt. Now change that feather to something like a rolled-up napkin. It hurts like shit. Same speed, different mass.
    This means that if we put more weight into our popping foot, the board will hit the ground much harder and therefore produce more bouncing effect. I sometimes even put most of my weight on the popping foot and use the other foot to squeeze the board down so it wouldn't manual.

    I have a trash nollie heel and have never done a nollie fs 180 heel; but I can do nollie inward heels... For me, it’s one of those “stand-alone” tricks that doesn’t really depend on the “building block” component tricks as much.

    • @bendegros
      @bendegros  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It helps that I was on a weeny little 8" deck, however, I do find them to be one of the tricks that does not really suffer when I go up in board size. In fact they almost get radder, they just take a little more effort.

    • @jwest88

      @@bendegros I skate 8.75s and make them work when I can get them. I've thought about going down to 8.5 or 8.62 but I tried it once and just wasn't comfortable on a smaller size(8.5 alien workshop). I've just gotten used to the extra width and length. I particularly missed the extra length in the middle when doing board slides and lip slides on transition. Think I'll work on Nollie inwards tomorrow, should be some good fun.
