- The tram system in the Serbian capital is the only one in the country and had to contend with damage to the infrastructure and a shortage of vehicles after the Yugoslav war. In the 2000s, Switzerland donated numerous Duewag Be 4/6s from Basel, most of which are still in use today. The largest part of the tram fleet consists of the Tatra KT4YUs, which were delivered between 1980 and 1990. In 1997 another 20 cars came to Belgrade, they were the last KT4s ever built. 30 modern CAF Urbos 3 low-floor trams have been in use since 2011.

Ein sehr gelungenes Video mit cooler musikalischer Untermalung (1.Titel )! Ich staune was für gepflegte Fahrzeuge die im Einsatz haben🤩👌!Das Herz eines Tatrafan's schlägt bei den eingefangenen Geräuschen höher❤. Man hört das typ. Klacken des Hauptschützes sehr schön!!👌

Sehr schön! Städte, die sowohl Tatras als auch aufgekaufte (oder gespendete 😁) Duewags haben, findet man ja echt nicht so oft.
Die Beschleuniger-Steuerung (?) haben die KT4YU also bis Ende der 90er erhalten. Das ist interessant, dachte die hätten das nicht mehr.
Danke! Die letzte Serie hatte wohl ab Werk die Thyristorsteuerung TV14. Diese Wagen (2400er-Nummern und runde Scheinwerfer) habe ich leider bis auf ein Foto nicht zu Gesicht bekommen.

Belgrade city gov recently was offered another batch of Duewags from Basel, 57 of them. But in the end they declined that donation since they want to buy new trams (at the moment only 25 new were bought from Turkish Bozonkaya). I think that was a mistake since most of Tatras are well over their working years and simple can't bring the same comfort or reliability anymore, so those 57 would do just fine in some interim period before new trams arrive. But stupidity of our politicians. Anyway, thanks for this great video! Duewags are such a great trams, i like them more than those modern CAFs.
It's interesting that both Terazije and Republic Square had trams in pre-ww2 era, also Zemun had trams system, sadly also removed after ww2. In last few years they brought plans to bring back trams from Slavija to Terazije and up to Republic Square, we will see.
Thank you! :) I agree, Basel's trams are in excellent condition and it would have been a huge improvement. 25 new trams are a drop in the ocean compared to the size of the fleet and the Tatras (as much as I love them) are really worn out.
@@TRAMAGIC yes 25 is nothing, and they refused 57 FREE duewags that are in great shape and newer than those we have now. They said they will buy additional 100, but who knows since they like to lie a lot, i hope they get Siemens since they have trams factory in Serbia.
Another great video! Belgrade will also get a 40 km metro with two lines, set to open in 2028. Edit: it is estimated that there will be 90 km of new lines and extensions by 2033!

Seit vielen Jahren bin ich Teil der queeren Community und gerade im Pride Month ist es für mich selbstverständlich, meine Zugehörigkeit zu zeigen. Die Ukraine unterstütze ich aufgrund meines persönlichen Empfindens von Gerechtigkeit. Davon abgesehen ist das hier ein privates Projekt, bei dem ich in meiner Freizeit kostenlosen Content anbiete. Niemand wird gezwungen, es sich anzuschauen.
