This is definitely me....I've had this as my mode of protection for many years but now I understand it....My boyfriend suggested using Pineapple as our safe word a week ago after our last fight, too bad we never actually tried it. It's nice to know it's a real technique and it might have actually worked.
What if you have a partner that gets triggered like this 90% of the time, any discussion can potentially lead to angry protector mode... you have to leave in the end...
