@@BethanyStahlMy question is simple: I have ALL of my images and front/back cover designed for my children's book. They are saved in PDF format with the writing (of the story) on each page. I want to put them in an 8.5 x 11 template and add borders for Ingramspark for each page of the book. How do I do this?
do you need to have assigned your ISBN to your book in order to download the Ingram Spark book cover template? I've only used KDP and it doesn't ask for the ISBN to get a cover template
Great question! Hardcovers on Amazon will act the exact same way (they also have a cover template to download) and Barnes & Noble is quite similar to IngramSpark in how they produce books and with their requirements.
@@BethanyStahl Thank You! Do Amazon KDP and Barnes & Noble also have that area in which the text is to be aligned to center like the pink area on Ingram Spark's Template? (In case of hardbacks)
Yes - you have to go to the edge of the blue. The pink will be where your cover stops/the edge of the cover (the blue wraps around the sides and back of the cover, so no important information should go there - like text or characters). I hope this helps!
If i was to send you my front and back cover would you be able to help me with the book template through ingram spark? And how much would u charge for that service?
How do you know that your spread page illustrations are lined up correctly with the right page? The eproof that Ingram Spark sent me shows the pages in a single format rather than side by side. I have reached out to them, but they couldn't answer my question, so they sent it to a higher level of customer service. Hopefully I will hear from them soon.
Right click on the photos in front of it and click 'Arrange' then 'Send to Back' and it move your barcode forward and you can always arrange the barcode to the front too.
When exporting on InDesign you can use color profiles to convert to CMYK or use a CMYK file instead. When uploading covers/interiors to IngramSpark, whichever way you go about it, I do recommend giving them a CMYK file to ensure the best color accuracy when it is printed.
Super helpful. Thank you!!
I'm really glad it helped!
Very helpful. No idea how anyone survives making these things without Photoshop and InDesign.
Oh my goodness you are a gem!!!!!!!!!! SO SO SO helpful xxxxxx
Glad it was helpful!
great tutorial, Bethany :)
bless you bethany thank you!!
Great tutorial, thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! 😊

How do i design my own photo cover or can i use a public domain photo. And use it as a book cover will it work if i use your method thank you Bethany
Thanks for the tutorial. It's a RVB or a CJMN file ?
I'd recommend CMYK for print.

Yes, it is because IngramSpark integrates your ISBN into the barcode that generates so it is marked as a required field.
@@BethanyStahl Got it, thank you!
What about the hardbacks of Amazon KDP and Barnes & Noble? Do they work the same way with the folding area and all that?

So for full bleed we have to go to the edge of blue? Others told me just to center it in the pink section...

@@BethanyStahl LITERALLY NO reseource out there has explained this. Thank you!
@@rentedthriftedreal No problem! I'm happy to help!

Where do you get the barcode image with the price?
Use their cover template generator and the file will have the barcode with the price included already in the document for you :)
How do you get adobe photoshop
Visit Adobe's website to see their plan options 😊
I’ve been so frustrated trying to keep my barcode from staying behind the picture after I add it (using indesign)
Right click on the photos in front of it and click 'Arrange' then 'Send to Back' and it move your barcode forward and you can always arrange the barcode to the front too.
@@BethanyStahl oh thank you!!!
my only question is that it looked like an RGB file?
