I don't get it. I stayed after midnight once and the coin didn't appear Also when i unlocked the gate the clock stops and when midnight falls (and I haven't unlocked the door before) I couldn't unlock the door anymore

Maybe go down and get the key to fight the boss fight to get the coin also if the key wasnt there when you hit a checkpoin go up and go down you should find the key respawn
Oh wait! Go to the black board when you get to midnight it should show a white figure and click or touch and if your done go down and receive the key to fight the boss fight this should be helpful
