TheBrilliantBeauty what if after you rubber banned your own hair, you crocheted the kankelon underneath your hair and then began braiding it? Would that work too? If all the kanekelon was too much, then just a portion that would act as the 3rd piece of the plait.. get what I’m saying?
I’ve done this method twice and also helped me learn how to to do the original method. I want to do my own video and shot out you as my reference. Love how you make it easy to follow. Also I braid over, which is maybe why it takes me 8 hours to do mine :( lol.
Great job looks great. If you want a tip for the ends just braid the ends together before dipping in the hot water when you undo them the ends will be wavy
I used elastic bands on my daughter’s hair when I did her individuals....it helped with the time.....I had parted it off n put elastic bands.....but I took them off as I braided....but I was glad I did it.

Just a tip that worked great regardless of the kind of rubber bands you use is to pour oil on them before using them.

I've seen other videos about this method, I think that's the point they protect the hair from the weave but they break so they don't damage the hair.
Yes they do...I just believe if you oil your hair good enough that this will not happen...
