    Nice video, thanks for showing the plier rack, that was my concern, the drawers would be to shallow.

    I'm going to be picking up the version that has 2 doors instead of the lower 8 drawers. I'd like the drawers, but I need bulk storage and I don't have room to get a storage cabinet.

    Nice. 👍 I added the Craftsman 26" Tool Chest on top of mine for extra storage. The hutch top has a power strip. It's a decent combo.

    Is there a special way to Install the casters? It's not rolling properly for me.

      Yes. The two swivel casters must be installed on the same side as the handle. Make sure they are unlocked.

    What is the width with open drawers?

  • @madarchermoto4955
    @madarchermoto4955 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How wide is the top? I know it’s 46 long but how wide?

    • @66mybeat
      @66mybeat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its alittle over 18inch wide. I kind of like it that size to move around better in the shop.

    Did you look at any other boxes before getting this one? What made this one better than any others?

    • @66mybeat
      @66mybeat  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      nope. Just had a coupon for this one!

    Hey I was looking at picking one of these up, would it be difficult to remove and replace the wood top?

    • @66mybeat
      @66mybeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wood top is the top of the box. if you feel in the top drawer you can feel the wood. and its bolted down.

      Check out Justin Dow's TH-cam chanel. He picked up this box a few years ago and did the measuring of the drawers.

    The instruction manual for the Yukon says to empty all the drawers before moving the toolbox. Do you actually do that? If not, have you had any issues moving it around loaded up?

    • @66mybeat
      @66mybeat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I saw that too and it made me laugh. No I don't empty it everytime I need to move it. And it rolls just fine with all the tools I have inside of it.

      It's simply put in there for liability issues. If someone has this loaded down goes up or down a grate and some drawers open up causing it to fall over onto your foot crushing it, it's now a user error instead of a manufacturer lawsuit.

      It probably means before literally moving it from one location to another, i.e. loading it into a truck, rather than just rolling it from one place to another within the same location, if that makes sense.

      @abidfarooqui-sla3301 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am sure that is a warning for moving it from shop to another shop by loading it into a trailer or something not rolling it around the shop. That would be asinine

  • @mols89
    @mols89 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    How often do you move it around? Is it as mobile as a cart? (Size aside of course...)

    • @66mybeat
      @66mybeat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it gets moved around all the time. That is what I bought it to do. So far so good, no problems. I had a really nice 5 drawer cart but did not have a good work surface that could be close to the projects I am working on.

      @@66mybeat awesome, thanks for responding! That's exactly what I'm looking to do with a box like this.

    How's the long drawer holding up?

    • @66mybeat
      @66mybeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I now have the quinn 428 piece mechanics tool set in this box. And have all of the sockets, ratchets and extensions all in the top now and it still holding up great!
