Well hello there mennard shippers and people who overuse the "its my au" excuse let me tell you something AUs are excuses to justify the ship. the Aus dont make sense. Gacha Aus make a whole different story that does not relate to the original. Gacha aus make a whole different universe. An au is ALTERNATE UNIVERSE meaning there has been minor not major changes. For example an Au would be the universe where the character makes a different choice. Aus do not change the entire lore. Aus are merely copies of a universe with a few changes. Mennard changes the the entire lore which addes a new character licas or noah or what fucking ever, mennard changes the lore making an entire new universe . Since AUs are simply copies of the universe with a few changes, there are no new characters. You'd have to add characters to the canon lore in order to justify your major changes like adding new characters. So no AUs do not have new characters. If you want to alter a universe it cannot be called your "AU" its now simply an entire new universe since your new characters and major changes to the story change the lore entirely different to the original universe. Understand what an AU is before you use it to make little excuses to justify your ship.

Since AUs are simply copies of the universe with a few changes, there are no new characters. You'd have to add characters to the canon lore in order to justify your major changes like adding new characters. So no AUs do not have new characters. If you want to alter a universe it cannot be called your "AU" its now simply an entire new universe since your new characters and major changes to the story change the lore entirely different to the original universe. Understand what an AU is before you use it to make little excuses to justify your ship.
