I don’t drink alcohol but I make this cake all the time but I do use Rum. Whenever you cook with alcohol the heat burns off the alcohol. You don’t get inebriated using liquor in cooking or baking. It gives a unique taste that extracts can’t give. Adding heat to alcohol does the same as extracts. It removes the alcohol. Bless you either way the weightloss journey. I will be following 🙏🏾

I put cinnamon but I don’t put sugar and I am a diabetic and I’ve been a diabetic 40+ years but you guys take care and enjoy the other channel also, but you guys stay blessed. I was wondering Mrs. Teresa two things: 1. do you shift your flour for your cakes? 2. how do you keep your cakes from falling or exploding in the oven? I love to bake but I recently bought a new oven and my cakes either sink in the middle or explode over in the oven. This has never happen before until I got this oven. I live in California now and we don't have Lilly flour out here we have Golden Medal. I use cake flour thou because it is already sifted. What causes cakes to do this? I love how you and your husband pray before you eat I just love that. Thank you for not being afraid to let your light shine for Jesus. I'll be praying for you as you go on you diet journey MR. Thanks for your kind words. I always sift my flour off camera to save on time, I’m sorry your cakes are falling and exploding. I’ve heard that the weather and climates can effect your baking, remember baking is a science(lol). I’m old school and I don’t let no one in my kitchen when I’m baking as I was taught that it will make your cake fall, lastly you may want to check your oven thermometer to ensure it’s cooking properly.
