- In this episode we Start with trying to Tune this Civic on 2 electric fuel pumps.
When that ran out , Client decided to go Mechanical pump!
With only a stock fuel tank we had to devise a solution , and what we came up with -worked genius!
So join us now and let’s make this Hot Rod Honda absolutely Haul Ass !
Engine set up
Cylinder head springs retainers and Skunk Cams L19 head studs
Engine lower end Arias Pistons and Turbo Tuff rods
Turbo Presicion 68/70
Trans Albins synchro
Axles driveshaft shop 5.9
Fuel system skunk2 fuel rails
Injectors PFispeed 2200cc injectors x8
Fuel pump speed factory mechanical -10 feed. And -8 return fuel lines dual pump hangar bracket Holley pickup Bag in tank
Stock gas tank
450lph primer pump
Tuned with Aem v2

that was my first car a 1993 Red EG civic hatchback! it was absolutely IMMACULATE! my dad bought it in 1994 brand new and gave it to me in 2004 and he put lowering springs, put enkei rims, 2 JL audio 10' subwoofers, a nice stereo and cold air intake! it was beautiful, then someone stole it! OOhh i was so mad! then i bought a 96 Integra LS but i miss that hatchback man it was so clean it was perfect!.. those red EG hatches will always have a special place in my heart i tell u what!... if i had the extra money i will buy another one someday.

Love your videos man! Keep up the weekly uploads. I wish there was more shop update videos dedicated for things you have done to the shop since you've acquired it. Once every month or so would be awesome. Even the area around the shop - parking lot - fields - etc.
On DSM's with a mechanical pump we use the ECU's prime feature to fire the electric pump for say 20 seconds at key on and then it shuts off automatically, works out very well, no issues with starts.

That is a prime example of an excellent Honda build. Straight up turned into a monster and was cake to get in the 9's 😮

I learned soooo much about not just tuning cars, but troubleshooting engines in general, and for this I thank Brent and PFI! Knowledge to the people 💪 I have asked before, but no reply. inside the tank to make sure the line is unrestricted a T in each end with a one way valve in it to allow the electric and mech to work together flawlessly has worked for me in the past on v8. I'm sure this won't be any different. it has to draw thru the electric pump unless you already do this.

always a great video here. im working on a 1of1 honda that's never been done. cant give to many details to keep me 1st but i would want anyone else but Brent to tune it. withing a year maybe 1.5 years ill be ready. just a little hint its not an A series but has more than 4/6 cylinders

I got to say I'm not a import guy by any means whatsoever but I love what these guys do and I wonder if they could do anything for my 2.0 ecotec turbo Cobalt I imagine they could even though it's not exactly what they're messing with day and day out

Put a one way check valve on the feed and the fuel will stay at the pump 👌🏽

to have constant high pressure in the fueltank without adding unwanted gases or with wanted cold air is not a problem. i think probabley you dont need a fuelpump at all. what you need is to get prepelant to your bom bom chamber.

i am new to this tweeking on your level in engine performance.. i have been wondering when you say you have been running out of fuelpump. is your fueltank totaly inclosed or do you have some sort of breatherhole not to create vaakum or leaking in hoses due to that?
Brent I dont think I have ever seen you make a pass in any car. Is there a reason? I know some time people have to stop racing for health reasons, Im 1 of them. Jamie's great at banging gears but if you were NHRA anything I would imagine you can Bang gears with the best. Keep up the fight brother. And F the EPA.
