Maybe it's just me, but sometimes I feel like with all the switching scenes (especially from zoom-ins), it's very hard to tell whose fleet is who or what just happened in battleship. This may also just be because a lot is cut out for video length.

Its just hard to tell whose board is whose at times bc both people will be on the screen and the boards cut from one to another so fast, while being very zoomed in on the seperate boards at times and theres no great establishing shot for either board pre game

I used to play tons of online battleship yeeeaars ago, like 12 years ago atleast or a bit more and I started to use the preeetty much the same exact strategy as Ludwig is using (I just hugged the sides more) and it made my win rate to something like 95-98%. People were so confused, if they found one glued to the side they would be thinking there propably is no other tied to sides. I was fairly quick finding opponent boats but if I didn't or the one against me was too it just usually gave me pretty massive xtra time if needed. Altough there were no fancy weard shots and mines that could give a tell on the strat but just one normal shot and shot like in the original.

The best battleship strategy is to leave the edges completely open, but also the very middle. People waste time around the edges and middle.
But don’t group the ships too close together, leave some space between them too
