Whoa, seems like this cameo could be canon, they seem to be the exact same Jade and Sophie from their respective games, unlike cameos in other tales games where they just look, fight, and act alike.
ryudhal The R remakes for the Vita took the original Handheld versions (Innocence and Hearts) and apparently linked all 3 DS games (including Tempest) having characters from the other game's "world" even be part of the main story,not just cameos. But that's as far as Namco has taken the idea of uniting different universes,and the characters that were added were not shared main characters,but just characters said to be from a different world.
I'm still wondering about one thing, when Sophie put on Jade's spare glasses why didn't she have her personality shift to Jade's? (Tales of Radiant Mythology 3 reference for people who are not getting what I'm talking about. In Tales of Radiant Mythology 3 there are 2 separate skits where Rita from Tales of Vesperia puts on Jade's spare glasses and acts and talks just like him. The other skit is the same situation except with Ruca from Tales of Innocence. They should've kept that tradition. XD)

Canon-wise,Jade's glasses do jack shit to anyone lacking Fonic Sight,since they are power limiters to make sure his power doesn't go out of control. He did do a joke about his glasses being the reason he can see them, and then admitting he was just messing with them.

As glad as I was to see Sophie as a cameo, I would've liked a Xillia character instead. Hubert and Pascal came out in Hearts R and well Kohaku came out in Graces. Still Sophie is definitely one of my favorite Tales characters!

Like the Kratos,Shizel,Barbatos and Dhaos cameos in Vesperia, or the more recent Phantasia/Destiny hero cameos in Xillia 2. They are just bonus battles, and though they suggest that Namcoconsiders all the Tales universe a sort of multiverse (since characters can pop in another game from other universes), it doesn't indicate a crossover gamebeyond the Tales of the World ones. They'd have to make some shitty excuse like "all dimensions merged together because of x's power" for that to even happen,and let'snot even get into the fact some games are sequels,which make characters from, say Phantasia and Symphonia unable to interact at all (since Phantasia happens hundreds of years before Symphonia).

I never said the R games are in the same continuity.In fact,they are not even in the same universe. They are linked through a gate,so they're a multiverse. Also,Phantasia has 2 more sequels besides Symphonia/Ratatosk, Tales of Phantasia: Narakiri Dungeon and Tales of the World: SUmmoner's Lineage.

If we're going to get anal here, Lunarre sounds like a Crazy Jade,since Jade was always voiced by Takehito Koyasu.

Nah, no cameo battle is canon in the Tales of series which involve other Tales of characters, unless specifically said so.
