I used to study Food & Nutrition when im doing my GCSE and Food Studies in A levels. Now im planning to continue my path and take a BA degree in Food Science and Technology. wish me luck!! great explanations too!
I’m planning to take a Bs in Nutrition with Wellness, but at the same time I’m also interested in Food Science. All I’m worried about it the weight of the courses I need to take for Food Science since it seems a lot heavier and tougher. Though, I am actually more interested in how food affects the body compared to the chemistry behind food. Kinda stuck in a dilemma 😂 But I still have time to decide. Anyway, thank you so much for the video! 💕
I’m currently doing my masters in food science . Did my Bsc in Nutrition and Dietetics and I want to merge the two! I don’t have any experience in food science per say however I am definitely looking forward to those opportunities! Great video and helpful information!
I am 18 year-old student who is going to apply Food Science major for bachelor degree, and this video is a blessing. In my country, people aren't aware of what is meant by Food Science, so even my friends and relatives are making me vague and indecisive about the major by telling me inaccurate consequences. I felt discouraged a lot. But now, after seeing you, I have firmly decided to major in Food Science no matter what people say. You are awesome! Love from Myanmar💕
Hi fellow food science major here and I know what you mean when people don't truly understand what food Science is and it can suck cus it's mainly just confusing food science with other food related professions/fields but in the end as food scientists we will help the world more then those who doubt us can know ❤
Thank you for this video. I’m having my Postgrad in food science, I have a BSc in biochemistry and everything you said in this video is right on point😀 Also your skin🔥🔥🔥 Can’t wait for the vlogs.
Hi, I would like to become a food scientist and or a food engineer, but my country doesn't do those course in there university or college. I would like some advice should I study science at the college level then go on studying food science and also do you need physics.
Hi Ayla! This is a great question. I plan to do a detailed video about this, because many people ask. It really depends on your background. You can take training courses online to gain knowledge in the subject first. Getting a 4 year degree, will really depend on your career goals. There are Food Science jobs in the industry where you won't need a 4 year degree and that way you can get the experience sooner. You can then also look into a CFS (Certified Food Scientist) credential where you apply & take an exam to then be qualified in the subject. You will need work experience though! www.ift.org/career-development/certification/get-your-cfs
I’m going to do nutrition science degree majoring in food innovation at deakin, I’m not sure if I could go into the food industry because my degree is nutrition.
Hii beautiful Firstly,I like ur Idea of sharing your experience and knowledge to the people, It helps a lot of people to choose their career. And,I Wanted to know about the job opportunities in US and the salary percentage???
Hi! I stumble on your channel while looking for ideas to write an essay about what would I do 5 years later after I get my master degree in food science. Its my first semester, its kind of hard to adjust because my bachelor degree was majoring in chemistry but i think i can keep up. I like your videos, im subscribing and i hope you can make more content like this.
I want to get my masters in economics or in any medical related course I have BSC in food science and technology but I want to go for another course not related to food is that possible?
Black heaven … but on to the comment … Food Science will also explode given the coming food shortages, droughts , destruction of farmland , and shortage of fertilizers

That is definitely possible. You may need a few extra prerequisites to pursue those masters courses.

Absolutely!
Is food chemist and food technologist the same ?
not the exact same, but similar in many ways.

What about coming from a community collage
My advice is the same! Community college or High School. You still have to go through a similar application process :)
