Good Story. Got some questions though. They were named squad 36...Meaning there are more than just 36 squads, and the front*was 5 miles away & 12 blocks a mile. When reaching the APC, why didnt they call FOB base, to see if there were other squads that were stranded and needed retrieval* we never say rescue....Just kinda seems normal to do that....
unless your SMART about it, you become lunch. These military guys, run every 5/7 days of the week up to and including 8 miles at a time. SO, a average citizen sprinting, is pretty fast, but a miitary guy sprinting....plus strength training would be a great threat. A net would work. 55o cord net, trip lines, even trip and pokes.....or a trip line about chest high....
@who346 There are hoards of fast movers. In this timeline(6 days in), the blood type A's are still fresh and frisky. In my unscientific estimation, the runners outnumber the shambles 4 to 1. The army itself has been decimated (or worse), according to Canon, and all they got left are green recruits. in time and with luck precision will be key, but it's run and gun, in my opinion... also, in my opinion, I sound like a gigantic dork.
May this soldier has not been involved in transport to be a petrol head Term petrol head means anything that runs on stuff that makes it go bang and movement increases Fuel gas is it spoiling you enjoyment of the story So many times I hear mistakes about vehicle glass breaking it twisted my gourd or gourd but do I let it take away from the story nope
@@karlaceclaydon that’s why I just said fuel for thought, from a soldier to a writer. Any weapons questions I would also be happy to help lol. They only other bother me when soldiers patches are all wrong lol.

Not really much story for them to ride along and pick up stranded teams, but I assume that they would do that.
Geez…. Talk about attention to detail. But if you’re military, I get it.
Dreary week, losing hope, can't go on, and then... BLAM 💥 zombie day! 😄
I love zombie day❤
@@DrunkComments it's quickly replacing Christmas in popularity.
😊🎉
Yup.
Yippee!!!
Just in time for bedtime
The military runners would all have sidearms and maybe rifles with extra ammunition too. Why would the living not take those weapons and ammunition?!
It takes time to get them, and with swarms of zombies shambling in they just don't have the time.
There are alpha runners, unbittens as well as stragglers. These are early days in the Dead America zom-poc. It's a good question, though

... 'your'. I hate my fingers somedays.
Haha it's all good neil. Hope you're doing well buddy!
Italian style sponge, blueberries and vanilla icecream. So, I'm eating. Be well.
Love the stories, but HATE the ai
A soldier wouldn’t say “hope it has gas”. Army vehicles run on fuel. Food for thought.
Diesel.
Fuel is and can be any form of petroleum product or by product used in a hydro combustion engine.
@@danwatts1857 roger, but no one in the army says gas unless it’s a truly gasoline engine

@femalehero420 we do. And, I am Army. I guess my unit and soldiers are smart enough to understand layman's and technical English.
A.I voice vo vo vo vo vo vo vo voic voic voic voic voiceeeeeeeee🤮
It's a catch 22, if I went human narration it would mean a story every 3-4 months. With AI I can do a story every week.
