Love everything about Ayr and Dalmellington.Having stayed briefly at BellsBank 1/4 mile from Dalmellington, Stage coach was the only mode of transportation for me to visit Ayr. As I watch this video, all the fond memories of this place came back to me. Love my Scottish friends, they are the best....
Sometimes I drive from Ayr to Patna, park the car up and then walk the dog up the Drumgange incline to the old miners village of Lethanhill hidden in the trees and along the ridge past Waterside/Dunaskin to Corbie Craigs and onto Benwhat Hill before coming back down to Dalmellington via Craigmark and Burnton and then get the bus back to Patna. I love the place what with all the ghost villages high up on the plateau and the relics of its busy industrial past.
Its always fun listening to any similarly underpowered Dennis Trident or Super Pointer Dart screaming climbing hills! That makes them fun to travel on! :D

That was the road I travelled every day from Ayr to Dalmellington to school in 1980. Brought back heaps of memories.
