For anyone who also runs into this: "Single Use" wasn't showing up on my item. I had both Throw and Use Spell (Consume) as as a Use Action. Turns out the order of Use Actions matters! You can drag them to change the order. With Use Spell at the top "Singe Use" showed up. The top Action is also the default one when you just click on the item in the hotbar.
On the affected area preview when throwing: In the Use Action > Throw menu there's Fallback Preview Radius. This will create a preview circle around the landing area. In the Destroy Actions menu there's Create_Puddle as an option, Cell Total describes the size of the marked area, which will be odd-shaped like the potions do. Not that you don't have to select a surface type for the puddle, 'none' works too for the highlight. I guess that options means you could also create a new surface type PotionTUTCloud or something instead of a projectile spell. Neither of these area directly tied to the spell though, so they might not accurately represent how far it reaches. Although at least when I tried the circle was never wrong. Also neither of these are actually used by the vanilla healing potion, they also don't override the DOS2 grenade with a projectile spell, no clue how they do it :D
iirc elixiers last until long rest, but you can only have one active at a time, potions last a number or turns and you can have multiple active at the same time. Mage Hand probably has no mouth :D Really appreciate your style of video. It's good to see the kinda mistakes you make and how you find/fix them, cause otherwise I'd probably be quite likely to make the same mistakes and be stuck :) This has been super useful, thanks! :D
Thank you so much. And yes, I choose to keep my mistakes in there - as everyone who tries to replicate what I do in these videos are bound to bump into at least SOME of them. Or... that's what I tell myself anyway 😂 Regarding Elixirs... it might be possible to manipulate StackId to have multiple of them going. There's actually still a fair few things I haven't fully explored when it comes to potions/elixirs, so I'm certain to return to this topic again in the nearer future.
Oh I'm sure there's ways to make elixiers stackable, or potions last until long rest. Just the 'official' lore difference seems to be that. Though seems to be a BG3 thing, not DnD in general.
Hi Tanks the video, I'm having difficulty creating a magical item, which is if the character is invisible the next attack is a critical one, could anyone help?

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Please make a tutorial on how to create or modify spells, and another tutorial on how to make a subclass in the game.
After potions, spells are next up. And then subclass is a likely next target.
Something to explain levelmap data is on my wishlist. Really have no clue how to figure that out.
Noted. I'll weave that in, in one of the next episodes 🙂
Levelmaps will be covered in Episode 10, scheduled to release on October 7 :-)
